Headquartered in Rock Island for 3 generations, JBS offers school bus service, contracted routes, chartered bus service, and special needs transportation. The fleet of vehicles include small to full size school buses, special needs buses, and charter buses. Johannes opened the Aledo Facility in 1995 and provided transportation to the Aledo School Distr

ict for 14 years. Currently, JBS contracts with Mercer County School District #404 and has since the consolidation in 2009.

HELLO EAGLES!! Hope everyone has a great 1st day!

The buses are rolling .... as are the storms, so be safe out there. Keep an eye out for the children returning to school .... in addition to our bus riders, we have lots of kids that walk to school.

Reminder ..... 2pm dismissal schedule today!

JBS - Apollo, JH & HS rural riders:

You should receive a text or call by end of day with your route number and morning bus time. If you do not receive information and your student needs transportation, PLEASE contact Kim Lloyd ASAP!

Just a reminder to have students ready for pickup 5-10 minutes prior to bus times and make sure they know their route number so they load the correct bus after school.

HS students will ride J6 in the afternoon to Apollo and switch buses there if necessary. JH students should load their bus after school, if their bus is not there, they will load J3 and transfer at Apollo.

The complimentary ALEDO TOWN BUS STOPS are going to see some changes this fall ..... with buses running at or close to capacity and the ongoing driver shortage we will be revamping our town stops a bit.

As of now, these will be our pickup and drop off locations when school resumes for the 2026-27 school year:

BUTTONWOOD
NW 6th Ave/NW 5th St (South of Yogi Bear Park)
LUTHERAN CHURCH
NE 4th Ave/NE 6th St (Sponsler area)
SE 5th Ave/SE 5th St (North of Cemetery Park)

Morning pickup times should be between 725-735am. Times and bus numbers will be posted closer to the start of the new school year. If overcrowding continues we may be forced to make more revisions or temporarily discontinue the Aledo town stops. We encourage those who are able to get their children to and from school to do so ..... this will allow more room for those who have no other means of transportation.
