It's spooky season here at Fincham Mobile Storage! We figured we would tell a New Mexico True ghost story for you.
Did you know the Kimo Theater at the heart of downtown Albuquerque has its very own ghost? On August 2, 1951, a water heater/boiler in the lobby exploded during a movie screening. Six-year-old Bobby was on the mezzanine stairs when the blast occurred and tragically lost his life. Bobby is said to act like a playful poltergeist. He is blamed for missing items (like keys, phones, and wallets), flickering lights, opening or closing doors, and dropping stage equipment. To keep Bobby happy and prevent technical mishaps or bad performances, touring casts and crew members leave offerings—such as small toys, notes, and doughnuts.
