OSHA’s revised Hazard Communication Standard has entered its first phase of required compliance. As of May 19, 2026, manufacturers, importers, and distributors evaluating substances must comply with updated requirements for hazard classification, labels, Safety Data Sheets, hazard statements, trade secrets, and related communication standards.

2️⃣ Freight capacity could tighten further
Roadcheck Week combined with a recent Supreme Court ruling expanding broker liability may reduce available trucking capacity and increase spot market pressure. Analysts warn these factors could accelerate rising freight rates after a prolonged period of overcapacity.
