Unfortunately here at NCH, we have lost one of our own, Art Lautenschlager.

I’ve known Art for basically my entire trucking career. Met him when he was driving for Zoladz and we spent a whole summer together working for the cheektowage sewer crew, which was 2011/12 if i remember correctly. From there we became friends and eventually, years later, he came to drive for me.

He was my first employee, when I was just a kid with the dream of running multiple trucks. Art trusted me to keep him busy and gave me 10 years of loyal employment.

Now, anyone that knew him, knew his thoughts and feelings, no matter how dark or vulgar they were. Art called it as he saw it, no bs, no anything, just Art saying whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. But behind that front, Art was a stand up guy, as reliable as the day is long. He was never late, never lost, any job, any location, Art had it handeled.

Arthur you will be missed, not only as a great employee, but as a genuine friend. Rest in peace sir.

And again- if you knew Art, this picture is PERFECT.
