🚨 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE PASTURE 🚨

Apollo has officially filed a complaint.

Apparently the last bale disappeared “way too fast,” and he’s requesting immediate negotiations.

His attorney (Tristan) has reviewed the situation and issued the following statement:

🐴 “Less talking. More hay.”

After a thorough taste test, sniff test, and quality inspection…

✅ Tristan & Apollo approve Anderson Hay & Grain.

Let’s be honest…

If you’ve ever owned a horse, you know they can sniff out the expensive stuff from a mile away… then immediately drop half of it on the ground like they’re feeding the wildlife. 😂🌾

Thankfully, Anderson Hay & Grain keeps our crew happy—and our horses seem to think every meal is an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Big thanks to Anderson Hay & Grain for helping keep our four-legged coworkers fueled up.

Now if someone could explain to Apollo that hay doesn’t magically grow back overnight… we’d appreciate it. 🤦‍♀️🐴

🌾 ANDERSON HAY FACT OF THE DAY 🌾

🚨 WARNING: Side effects of buying quality hay may include:

🐴 Horses suddenly acting like gourmet food critics.
👃 Sniffing every bale before approving your life choices.
😒 Giving you “the look” if dinner is 37 seconds late.
💸 Wondering why you spend more time talking about hay than your own family.

Hay Fact: A horse eats about 1.5–2.5% of its body weight in forage every day. For a 1,000-pound horse, that’s roughly 15–25 pounds of hay daily, depending on pasture, workload, and nutritional needs.

At Anderson Hay, we understand that to your horse, hay isn’t just dinner—it’s a lifestyle. 😆

Hay Question of the Day | America 250 Edition 🇺🇸

We know… there weren’t cameras around during the Revolutionary War. But if there had been, maybe the photo would have looked something like this.

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, we thought it would be fun to mix a little history with a little hay knowledge.

During the winter of 1778, after the hardships at Valley Forge, George Washington ordered what became known as the Grand Forage, a major effort to gather enough hay and forage to keep the Continental Army’s horses alive. Without those horses, the army couldn’t move wagons, haul supplies, or pull artillery. In many ways, the success of the army depended on having enough forage.

That brings us to today’s Hay Question of the Day…

What type of hay do you think those horses would have most likely been eating?

And for a bonus question… about how many pounds of hay do you think one horse needed each day to help keep the Continental Army moving?

Leave your best guesses in the comments. We’ll reveal the answers tomorrow along with the fascinating history behind one of the most important forage operations of the Revolutionary War.

After all, for 250 years, one thing has remained true… America has always depended on agriculture!

In the perfect world, every horse owner would keep his water tanks sparkling clean. In the hustle and bustle world of horse ownership, though, waterers often get short shrift.

Horses drink significant quantities of water. If water is too dirty, unpalatable, or foul-smelling, horses will not drink i...

🌾🐴 Investing in the Next Generation Starts in the Field.

One of the greatest gifts we can give young people is an understanding of where their animals’ nutrition comes from. Feeding a horse or caring for livestock is about more than filling a feeder—it’s about learning why quality forage matters and how it supports an animal’s health and well-being.

That’s one reason we’re proud to work with Anderson Hay. Quality hay gives families, young riders, and future farmers an opportunity to learn about proper nutrition, responsible animal care, and the importance of agriculture in our communities.

By teaching youth how to recognize quality forage, understand the role of hay in a balanced diet, and appreciate the work that goes into producing it, we’re helping build confidence, responsibility, and respect for both animals and the people who grow their feed.

The future of agriculture depends on the next generation—and every bale is an opportunity to learn.

🌾 Healthy forage. Healthy animals. Educated youth. Stronger communities.

🌾 Hay Fact of the Day 🐴

Did you know that quality hay is the foundation of livestock nutrition?

For horses, hay should make up the majority of their daily diet. High-quality forage provides the fiber needed to support healthy digestion, maintain gut health, and promote steady energy throughout the day.

That’s why we’re proud to offer Anderson Hay—grown with a focus on quality and consistency. Good hay isn’t just about how green it looks; it’s about proper harvesting, storage, and nutrition that helps support healthy horses and livestock year-round.

Whether you’re feeding performance horses, broodmares, growing livestock, or your favorite pasture companion, starting with quality forage is one of the best investments you can make in their health.

🌾 Quality forage. Healthy animals. Strong farms.
