Uganda Re’s Chief Finance Officer, Ms. Naggayi Racheal Kyaligonza, presented a snapshot of the company’s financial performance during the AGM. She highlighted a significant increase in Profit Before Tax to UGX 9.6 billion for the year 2025, up from UGX 3.9 billion in 2024. Profit After Tax also rose to UGX 3.8 billion in 2025, compared to UGX 3.2 billion in the previous year, demonstrating the company’s strong financial growth & stability.

During the meeting, Uganda Re also officially launched its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, aimed at enhancing service delivery to partners & reinforcing its vision of becoming the leading reinsurer in Africa.

In his closing remarks, Vice Chairman Ambassador Stephen Mpuuga Kaboyo expressed appreciation to stakeholders & shareholders for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend the AGM. He also welcomed them to Uganda Re’s newly acquired home in Kololo.

He emphasized that the Strategic Plan is not just a document, but a firm commitment from both the Board & Management, a bold roadmap guiding the organization into the future. He noted that this marks the beginning of a transformative five-year journey aimed at strengthening the business & delivering meaningful impact.

Uganda Re successfully held its 13th Hybrid Annual General Meeting 2025 at its newly acquired premises on Plot 4, Prince Charles Drive, Kololo, bringing together stakeholders to reflect, engage & shape the future of the organization.

In her statement, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Dr. Joyce Namirimo Tamale, proposed a dividend equivalent to 30% of profit after tax for the year 2025. This follows the company’s improved performance and strengthened capital position. Dr. Joyce expressed delight in the fact that Uganda Re was holding this year’s AGM in its own premises/home in the prestigious Kololo hill & also commended the Uganda Re team for their dedication & outstanding work.

Our CEO, Ronald Musoke noted that the year has been marked by focused ex*****on, resilience & meaningful progress despite a dynamic & challenging operating environment. He emphasized the company’s continued commitment to delivering solid performance & driving sustainable long-term business growth.

He further expressed appreciation to our business partners & stakeholders for their continued support & strong relationships with Uganda Re. He also thanked Management & staff for their hard work & commitment, & applauded the Board of Directors for their guidance & oversight in ensuring the achievement of the company’s strategic objectives.
