Can 2022 deliver? That is the question.

President Museveni’s end of 2021 or New Year 2022 address was in some ways full of hope and promise!

Contrary to global beliefs that there may not be any cure for Covid19 in the near future, the president seems genuinely convinced that we are close to something here in Uganda… Will covidex be certified as a cure for Covid-19?

The president officially declared that schools will open on January 10, 2022 thus ending the world’s longest school closure and urged officials to stagger opening dates to avoid traffic congestion. As predicted, the traffic congestion prevailed! Sometimes we forget that schooling is a complete industry or economy in Uganda. Will anything be done about the traffic congestion in Kampala?

The authorities recently made a U-turn on the covid testing of travellers at Entebbe International Airport. Effective 5th November 2021, all arriving passengers at Entebbe are allowed to go home after testing so that they self-isolate until their results are out. The positives would subsequently be tracked for further management according to the Ministry of Health Protocol on Covid-19.

Have you traveled recently? What was your experience? Do you think the new process is effective in controlling the spread of covid ahead of the reopening of the economy in January?

Prior to the reforms in the power sector industry, there was a monopoly run by a single government owned utility company handling generation, transmission and distribution of electricity in Uganda.

Since then, UEB was unbundled into three successor companies: UEGCL, UETCL and UEDCL including UMEME Ltd and other smaller distributors.

Do you think the government should reemerge these 3 bodies? What to know what you think!

Hon. Semujju Nganda; guest at the launch of our paper, “Where do we find GOOD POLITICIANS and the 2021 scientific campaigns election? “

• I look at people that went to fight in Luwero to remove the government, they left their families, abandoned their lives.

• The biggest contribution the elite make to make politics better in Uganda is criticize those that are actually doing something. They want a good country but they believe it will fall from heaven.

• There are 2.3M elective positions. There is no social media platform that is going to give you those people, you have to hunt them down.
