Moja kati ya uwezo muhimu unaotakiwa kuujenga ndani yako(hasa kwa viongozi) ni uwezo wa kushawishi watu( Influencing power).

Ukweli ni kwamba kila mtu anahitaji watu, hakuna mafanikio yanayokuja kipekee pekee, unahitaji watu watakaokusaidia kufanikisha malengo.

Ili watu washirikiane na wewe kwenye kutimiza malengo unahitaji kuwashawishi, na ushawishi ni nguvu inayotoka ndani.

Ziko level kadhaa za ushawishi, lakini leo naomba nizungumzie level kubwa tatu.

i) Ushawishi kutokana na nafasi uliyonayo( influencing by position).

Hii unakuwa na nguvu ya ushawishi kutokana na nafasi uliyonayo, unakuwa na position fulani.

Labda wewe ni mchungaji unaongoza kanisa, au wewe ni baba kwenye familia, au wewe ni kiongozi au boss kwenye taasisi fulani.

Watu wanashawishika na wewe kutokana na nafasi uliyokuwa nayo, wanaweza wasipende, lakini itabidi wafanye tu kwasababu wanahofia nafasi uliyonayo.

Ni vizuri kiongozi wa aina hii ajiendeleze kufikia level ya pili na ya tatu, ukitegemea nafasi yako tu k**a nguvu pekee ya ushawishi, hautapata ule ushirikiano unao uhitaji kutoka kwa watu.

ii) Ushawishi kutoka na matokeo.

Hapa kiongozi anafanya mambo yanayo onekana, anafanya vitu watu wanaona wanavutiwa, kunakuwa na matokeo ambayo kiongozi anakuwa anahusika kwa kiasi kikubwa kusababisha hayo matokeo.

Huyu kiongozi wa level hii anakuwa bora zaidi kuliko yule wa leadership by position, nguvu yake ya kushawishi inakuwa ni kubwa kidogo kuliko yule wa kwanza.

Shida ya kuendelea kubaki kwenye nafasi hii, itafika kipindi nguvu ya watu kukupa ushirikiano itapungua tu, kwasababu hii nguvu ya kuwashawishi watu bado inatoka nje.

iii) Ushawishi unaotokana na kuwekeza ndani ya watu, kunakuwa na maendeleo si ya vitu tu, lakini pamoja na hao uano waongoza, watu wanakuwa impowered, wanajengewa uwezo kutoka ndani wa kukupa ushirikiano.

Kiongozi anaye wekeza kwenye watu zaidi, anajenga mazingira ya kupata ushirikiano mkubwa na wa muda mrefu kutoka kwa watu na hivyo kupata matokeo makubwa( results).

Boss unataka matokeo makubwa hapo kwenye ofisi yako, wekeza zaidi kwa watu kuliko unavyowekeza kwenye vifaa.

Mchungaji unataka matokeo makubwa kwenye huduma yako, wekeza zaidi kwenye watu, tafuta maendeleo ya watu zaidi kuliko maendeleo ya vitu vingine.

Tatizo lako la msingi au changamoto yako kubwa inayo kukabiri, hauwezi kuitatua na kiwango chako hicho hicho cha kufikiri au cha ufahamu ulichokuwa nacho wakati tatizo au changamoto hiyo inatokea.

Unataka mpenyo kwenye maisha yako unahitaji new level of thinking, the level of thinking uliyonayo sasa hivi haiwezi kukutoa kwenye changamoto inayokukabiri.

Unataka kuboresha maisha yako kwenye eneo lolote lile, unahitaji kiwango kipya cha ufahamu, kitakacho kutengenezea new level of thinking.

Your level of thinking ndiyo dunia yako hiyo, maamuzi unayochukua yanategemeana sana na your level of thinking, actions zako nyingi zinategemea sana your level of thinking.

Kuboresha namna yako ya kufikiri(your level of thinking) ni kuyaboresha maisha yako, kuchakachua your level of thinking ni ku yadumaza maisha yako.

Kiwango cha kufikiri au kuwaza ni matokeo ya taarifa(informations) zinazo ingia na kuchakatwa mara kwa mara kwenye akili yako(processed informations).

Kwa kadiri taarifa unavyo ziruhusu kuingia kwenye akili yako, na kuendelea kuzichakata ndiyo zinatengeneza kiwango chako cha kufikiri.

Kuwa makini na nini unakiruhusu kuingia kwenye akili yako.

Kiwango chako cha kufikiri ndiyo uwezo wako.

Moja kati ya dalili za awali kabisa kwamba uko kwenye njia sahihi ya mafanikio( right truck) ni vikwazo unavyokutana navyo.

Usivunjike moyo wala kukata tamaa, jukumu lako kubwa wewe siyo kulalamika au kumnyoshea mtu kidole, jukumu lako kubwa ni kujiboresha uwe bora( stronger than) kuliko hivyo vikwazo.

Examining your life areas with 80/20

The 3-step approach applies to all areas of your life. Here are some examples:

1.Habits.

What is your routine today? Any low-value habits you should do away with? What are the 20% key power habits you can pick up to create 80% of value in your life, such as meditation and waking up early?

2.Thoughts.

Observe the thoughts that run through your mind. Which thoughts make you feel good? Which thoughts make you feel negative? What are the 20% high-value thoughts you can focus on to make your day better? What 80% low-value thoughts can you eliminate?

3. Health.

What is your current diet? What are the few key things you can do to improve your health? Drinking 8 glasses of water? Eating more fruits and vegetables? Eating foods with a high nutritional value?

4..Relationships.

What are all your current relationships? List them down — your family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances, relatives. Which 20% of your relationships give you 80% of your happiness? How can you increase your time on these 20% relationships to get more out of them?

5.Career.
Are you in a career that you enjoy? If not, what is your 80/20 path to transition to your ideal career? If you love your current job, what are the 20% tasks that you enjoy the most — and how can you do them more often to increase your passion for your work?

6.Wealth.

What are the 20% activities that generate most of your wealth now? How can you focus on them to increase your profit? If you are an employee, what are the key variables that your pay is linked with? How can you focus on those variables to maximize your performance?

7.Productivity.

What are your daily to-dos? Which 20% of your daily tasks create the most value and happiness? How can you spend more time on these 20%? How can you cut away, reduce, or delegate the 80% tasks that do not give you much in return?
