I see you see me see you 👀.
Lets talk about space boundaries in animal interactions discussing this beast as our sample space.
Animals exhibit four forms of space boundaries distinguished as:
1. Flight distance (run boundary),
2. Critical distance (attack boundary),
3. Personal distance (distance separating members of non-contact species.
4. Social distance (intraspecies communication distance).
Critical distance for an animal is the distance a human or an aggressor animal has to approach in order to trigger a defensive attack of the first animal.
As the critical distance is smaller than the flight distance, there are only a few scenarios in the wild when the critical distance may be encroached.
Lets take for an example, critical distance may be reached if an animal noticed an intruder too late or the animal was "cornered" to a place of no escape.
This photo was taken at the safest distance both the subject and the photographer where aware of their natural surroundings, assessing any sudden moves and on the look out for possible escape routes incase critical distance is reached.

This gatherings is a anti-predatory technique, gathering in such large groups helps dissuade predators like lions, leopards, hyenas and African wild dogs.

The Superb starling are known to be dashing darlings of the bird world in more ways than one. To mention a few:
1. They are fearless of man therefore spread across cities and natural reserved areas in North and East Africa.
2. Of all bird species Starlings have four forms of melanosomes (pigment granules that provides tissues with color) unlike other birds having three and below.
3. Courtship behavior involves small jumps on the ground, trailing wings and neck outstretched. (Observe the image above closely to notice)
4. They primarily feed on the ground, often below or in the vicinity of acacia trees.

The symbiotic relation between the Ox-pe**er and a giraffe is considered mutualistic because the birds are being fed, essentially, by the giraffes and in return the harmful ticks are removed from the giraffe’s Skin.
This particular image the ox pe**er is portraying a modern classy behavior of chilling after feeding and looking cool while doing it 😃
