Thinking about traveling in Pingtung but don’t have transportation?
Hoping to visit hot springs, coastlines, the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, and a national park all in one trip?
Take the Kenting Express 9189. With no transfers and no need to drive, you can depart from HSR Zuoying Station and reach the southern coast of Taiwan in just two hours.
Along the route, you will first arrive in Fangliao, where the coastline sits just a short walk from the station and the surrounding art district adds a vibrant touch to the journey. Continuing south is Sichongxi, best enjoyed during the Hot Spring Festival from November 21 to March 1—strolling along the hot spring street and warming your feet in a public footbath is one of winter’s simple pleasures. The bus then passes by the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, where many visitors spend half a day watching rays and belugas glide gracefully through the large viewing tanks. Finally, the route reaches Kenting, with Nanwan Beach, coastal trails, and Kenting Main Street all conveniently accessible. Ending the day with a sunset walk by the sea is one of the most relaxing moments of the trip.
