The Greater Caribbean will be cheering for Curaçao as it begins its World Cup journey.

This historic moment showcases the talent, ambition, and determination that define our region. As Curaçao steps onto the global stage, it reminds the world of the strength and diversity of the Greater Caribbean.

Best wishes to the team for a memorable tournament. 🇨🇼⚽

The Greater Caribbean has the talent, location and potential to compete in a rapidly changing global economy. The challenge is turning those advantages into opportunities.

Together with the Inter-American Development Bank, Caribbean Development Bank, and African Export-Import Bank, the ACS convened trade and Investment Promotion Organizations, bringing together 80+ participants to explore investment facilitation, financing, and technical cooperation.

Because connectivity is more than infrastructure — it is the bridge between geography and opportunity.

🎲🎶 Play connects people across cultures, generations and borders.

On the International Day of Play, the Association of Caribbean States celebrates the power of play to foster creativity, inclusion, well-being and human connection.

As we look ahead to Expo 2027 Belgrade and its theme, Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All, the Greater Caribbean reminds us that play is a universal language — much like music and culture — connecting our peoples across islands, coastlines and generations. This spirit will be reflected in The Sea Between Us Pavilion.

🌊 On World Oceans Day 2026, the UN’s “REIMAGINE” theme is a reminder that the Caribbean Sea isn’t a set of separate coastlines—it’s one shared life-support system for the Greater Caribbean. From fisheries and food security to tourism, trade, and coastal protection, fragmented governance can’t keep pace with transboundary threats like pollution, overfishing, coral degradation, and sargassum.

That’s why the ACS is advancing a unified, science-led regional approach—building shared capacity through initiatives like the Korea–ACS Joint Ocean Research Center and the ACS Sargassum Sub-Commission—and championing the UN designation of the Caribbean Sea as a Special Area in the Context of Sustainable Development. Reimagine the sea. Protect our common patrimony.

Climate action in the Greater Caribbean isn’t only about cutting emissions or responding to disasters—it’s also about tackling “slow-onset” impacts that erode coasts, freshwater, fisheries, tourism, and livelihoods. That’s why restoring and protecting nature (mangroves, reefs, seagrass) — backed by inclusive governance and regional cooperation — is a real pathway to a more just, resilient future. 🌿🌊
