One of the biggest travel mistakes I see is people assuming Uber works everywhere.
It doesn't.

Here's what I recommend after travelling to 55+ countries:

🇺🇸 USA & Canada → Uber
🇪🇺 Europe → Uber + Bolt
🌍 Africa → Bolt + Uber
🌏 Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam & Indonesia → Grab
🇨🇳 China → DiDi
🇦🇺 Australia & New Zealand → Uber (with DiDi available in many Australian cities)

These travel apps make travelling so much easier because you can:

Travel Planner Secret...
One of the biggest travel myths is that using a VPN will always unlock cheaper flights.

The truth?

In most cases, airlines adjust prices based on demand, seat availability, fare rules and booking timing, not simply because you're searching from another country.

That doesn't mean you'll never see a different price—but if you're relying on a free VPN as your main money-saving strategy, you're probably missing the things that make a much bigger difference.

Africa isn't one destination, it's an entire continent filled with completely different experiences.

After visiting 7 African countries, here's what I'd recommend each one for:

🇪🇬 Egypt – Ancient history and iconic landmarks.
🇰🇪 Kenya – Incredible safaris and unforgettable wildlife encounters.
🇹🇿 Tanzania – Stunning Serengeti & beaches
🇿🇦 South Africa – The perfect introduction to Africa with wildlife, cities, wine and coastline.
🇲🇦 Morocco – Vibrant souks, rich culture and beautiful architecture.
🇿🇲 Zambia – Adventure, nature and a different perspective of Victoria Falls.
🇿🇼 Zimbabwe – One of the most unforgettable bucket-list experiences I've ever had, including a microlight flight over Victoria Falls.

Every country surprised me in a different way and that's exactly why I never think of Africa as one destination.

Instagram didn't lie… it just didn't show the whole story.

After travelling to 55+ countries, I've learned that some of the most iconic travel photos leave out what happens just before or just outside the frame.

📍 Kanto Lampo Falls, Bali
Instagram shows the perfect waterfall photo. It doesn't always show the queue of people waiting for their turn.

📍 The Sphinx, Egypt
That classic "kissing the Sphinx" photo? It takes a little patience when there are hundreds of other visitors around.

📍 Lempuyang Gate, Bali
That famous reflection isn't created by a lake, it's usually a photographer using a mirror beneath your phone to create the illusion.

None of that stopped me from enjoying these places.
In fact, knowing what to expect made the experience even better.

Use Instagram for inspiration. Use realistic expectations for planning.
