We tried to explain what we do every day in the simplest way possible. Here is how that went.
We help bring people's boxes from big ships to land. Straightforward, right? Except the box has to get permission first. Then wait in line. Then sometimes just sit there like it's in time-out while everyone acts like that's completely normal.
We talk to the port so your cargo can leave. It's a bit like asking a very strict teacher for permission, except the teacher has forms, and the forms have other forms, and sometimes the answer is just "not yet."
We help your container move through customs, which is essentially a security guard who checks everything twice, trusts nothing, and is never in a rush.
We monitor timelines closely because in this industry, time and cost are the same conversation. A delay at one stage is an expense at the next.
Somewhere in between all of that, we also "buff" people for a living. Industry insiders will understand.
It sounds chaotic from the outside. From the inside, it's just Tuesday.
