Destination 9: Argyle Falls
Located on the Argyle river some 25 km from Scarborough, Argyle Falls is a scenic beauty. There is a short forest hike to the falls. Along the trail there is diverse vegetation such as poui, mango, cocoa, wild pines, bois cano, silk cotton, cedar and pawpaw, orchids, mimosa, heliconia. At the top, there are three pools. You are advised to visit the falls with an official guide who can be found at the entrance.

Destination 5: Emperor Valley Zoo
To keep the kiddies happy, you cannot go wrong with a visit to the zoo. The Emperor Valley Zoo was opened on the 8th November 1952. Children can see many of the mammals, birds, reptiles and fish indigenous to Trinidad and Tobago and the adjacent South American continent. The zoo has also added a number of exotic species foreign to the region that children will also be happy to see in person.
Opening hours are Mon - Fri 8:00am to 5:30pm, Weekends & Public Holidays - 8:00am to 6:00pm.

This is the last weekend to take your kids to turtle watching as official visits close off at the end of August. Grande Riviere is one of the most important turtle nesting sites in the world.
Now an endangered species, the leatherback turtle comes to our shores to nest from March to September.
