Istanbul Airport currently has a General Aviation Terminal that only serves private jets. There is a lounge in the General Aviation Terminal ( Genel Havacılık Terminali in Turkish ) which is only a 10-minute drive from the main building, and is served only by a special customs police and ground handling companies. G.A.T is located G pier of the main terminal and it is not possible to reach it by walking from the main terminal, car transfer service must be used.

There are 7 lounges at Istanbul Airport for the use of departing and transit passengers. 5 of them are on the international departures floor and 2 are on the domestic departures floor.

There are dozens of luggage carriers at Istanbul Airport. This is not a free service. The carrier will charge you a fee per item to be transported. We recommend that you use this service, especially if you have more luggage than you can carry on your own.

Istanbul Airport currently serves as 2 terminals in a single building. There are departing passenger, arriving passenger and public/private transportation floors under the same roof.

The top floor is the International and Domestic Departures floor. Gates 1 and 2 are for prooceding the Domestic Departure Terminal, 3,4,5,6 and 7 doors numbered are suitable for proceeding the International Departure Terminal. In fact, all of the doors open into a single huge hall. Approximate waiting time at the doors is 4-5 minutes during off-peak times and 8-9 minutes during busy times. In cases of extraordinary intensity, it may take up to 15-20 minutes.
