Çelebi Aviation Hungary is proud to announce the commissioning of its new castor deck at BUD Cargo City, a first-of-its-kind development at Budapest Airport.
Directly connecting the landside truck docks with the secured airside warehouse, the roller-based system enables built-up pallets and containers to move seamlessly between trucks and the warehouse, eliminating the need for heavy forklift operations at two of our truck docks.
The new infrastructure reduces truck turnaround times from 45-60 minutes to just 15–20 minutes. With capacity for up to 22 ULD positions, it serves as both a processing and buffer area, ensuring a continuous and predictable cargo flow, even during peak periods. The result is a safer, quieter and more efficient dock environment, with lower energy consumption and reduced emissions.
This investment reflects Çelebi Aviation’s continued commitment to developing scalable cargo infrastructure at Budapest Airport and delivering measurable value to our airline and freight-forwarding partners through greater speed, safety and reliability.
