We have to announce that, unfortunately, there is no countdown to New year 2017 in Khaosan Road. Any festivities throughout Thailand till this year end are all cancelled or postponed, or if one is held, it will be without loud music, fireworks or anything deemed inappropriate to this period of mourning. There will be no Beer garden organized around Siam either😢.There is still hope that they will give a concession regarding the matter, though.
But! no worries, small celebrations can still be held, without the loud noise of course. You can still enjoy your time here😄😃 Have a great holiday!!!

-Watch out for over priced product and services(Including Taxi).
-Secure your "belongings" at all time
-Don't take a Taxi that refuses to or does not use Taxi meter.
-Public transportation are way more safer and cheaper.
