จากคลองกลางพระนคร สู่ชุมชนริมน้ำเก่าแก่
จากเมืองท่าแห่งการค้า สู่สวนผลไม้และตลาดน้ำริมคลอง
“พาไปพาย” ชวนทุกคนออกเดินทางผ่าน 4 เส้นทางที่เต็มไปด้วยเรื่องราวของผู้คน เมือง และสายน้ำ
เราจะพายผ่าน “กรุงเทพฯ ที่เติบโตจากคลอง” เลาะแนวกำแพงเมืองเก่า คลองผดุงกรุงเกษม ย้อนรอยยุครางรถไฟเริ่มต้น ลัดเลาะแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาฝั่งเหนือ ย่านบางโพ–บางอ้อ ที่เคยเป็นศูนย์กลางอุตสาหกรรมไม้ของเมือง ออกไปสัมผัสเสน่ห์เมืองท่าประมงเก่าอย่าง “ท่าฉลอม–มหาชัย” ที่ยังคงมีชีวิตชีวาริมแม่น้ำ และปิดท้ายด้วยการย้อนเวลาเข้าสู่อัมพวา เมืองแห่งคลองสวน ตลาดน้ำ และวิถีชีวิตที่ยังคงไหลไปช้า ๆ อย่างงดงาม

ทริปนี้จะพาคุณพายเลาะเลียบแนวขอบเมืองตั้งแต่ช่วงเริ่มสร้างกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์
ต่อเนื่องมาถึงยุครัชกาลที่ 4 — ช่วงเวลาที่เมืองกำลังขยายตัวและเปิดรับโลกภายนอก
เราจะพายไปตาม คลองผดุงกรุงเกษม คลองสำคัญที่ขุดขึ้นในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 4 เพื่อขยายเขตพระนคร ทำหน้าที่เป็นทั้ง “ปราการป้องกันเมือง” และ “เส้นทางคมนาคมหลัก” คลองสายนี้เปรียบเสมือน “กำแพงเมืองชั้นนอก”เชื่อมต่อแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาฝั่งเหนือที่ เทเวศร์ ฝั่งใต้ที่ วัดแก้วฟ้า
ในอดีต ที่นี่คือเส้นเลือดของเมือง วันนี้…เราจะพายตามรอยเส้นเลือดนั้น ตลอดเส้นคลองเกือบทั้งสาย
เราจะได้ชมภาพเมืองกรุงเทพฯ จากมุมมองระดับผิวน้ำ มุมที่ครั้งหนึ่งเคยเป็น “ถนนสายหลัก” ของผู้คน

ทริปนี้เราจะเริ่มพายจากแนวชายแดนกรุงเทพฯ–นนทบุรี ผ่านย่าน “บางโพ–บางอ้อ” พื้นที่ที่ครั้งหนึ่งเคยเป็นหัวใจสำคัญของอุตสาหกรรมไม้และวัสดุก่อสร้างของกรุงเทพฯ ในอดีต ริมน้ำแถบนี้เต็มไปด้วยแพไม้ซุง โรงเลื่อย และโกดังสินค้านับไม่ถ้วน เป็นพื้นที่ที่เชื่อมโยงเศรษฐกิจทางน้ำของเมืองหลวงเข้ากับหัวเมืองทางเหนือผ่านแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา
เมื่อยุคสมัยเปลี่ยนไป จากนโยบายปิดป่า การสร้างเขื่อน และการขยายตัวของเมือง ย่านนี้ก็ค่อย ๆ ปรับเปลี่ยนจากพื้นที่อุตสาหกรรมริมน้ำ กลายเป็นย่านชุมชนเมืองร่วมสมัย ที่ยังคงมีร่องรอยของอดีตซ่อนอยู่ตามตรอก ซอย และบ้านเรือนเก่า
ระหว่างทาง เราจะพายทั้งในคลองและช่วงแม่น้ำเปิดกว้าง สัมผัสบรรยากาศของเจ้าพระยาในมุมที่ทั้งสงบและยิ่งใหญ่ ชมวิว “รัฐสภาแห่งใหม่” และยอดสีทองอร่ามของ “สัปปายะสภาสถาน” จากระดับผิวน้ำ สถาปัตยกรรมร่วมสมัยที่ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากภูมิสถาปัตยกรรมไทย ผสมผสานแนวคิดเรื่องจักรวาลและภูเขาพระสุเมรุเข้ากับงานออกแบบสมัยใหม่ได้อย่างน่าสนใจ

ทริปนี้เราจะพาคุณพายเรือเลาะแม่น้ำท่าจีน ชมสองฝั่งที่เคยรุ่งเรืองเป็นศูนย์กลางเศรษฐกิจตั้งแต่สมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 สัมผัสกลิ่นอายเมืองเก่าที่มีทั้งชุมชนชาวจีน ชาวเล และร่องรอยของความเป็นเมืองท่าดั้งเดิม

ทริปนี้ “พาไปพาย” จะพาคุณลัดเลาะเข้าสู่เครือข่ายคลองเล็กคลองน้อยของชุมชนสวนริมแม่น้ำแม่กลอง พื้นที่ที่เต็มไปด้วยเรื่องราวของวิถีชีวิตชาวสวน ชาวคลอง และตลาดน้ำที่เคยคึกคักที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของประเทศไทย
เราจะพาย SUP ผ่านบ้านไม้เก่า สวนมะพร้าว สวนลิ้นจี่ และคลองสายเล็กที่แตกแขนงเข้าไปถึงหน้าบ้านผู้คน สัมผัสเสน่ห์ของ “เมืองน้ำ” ที่ยังคงมีชีวิตอยู่จริง ทั้งเรือขายอาหาร บ้านริมน้ำ วัดเก่า และชุมชนที่ยังผูกพันกับสายน้ำอย่างแน่นแฟ้น

This June, Pa Pi Pie invites you to explore Thailand’s waterways through four unique paddle journeys filled with stories of history, culture, architecture, and riverside life.
From the historic canals of old Bangkok to the working waterfronts of coastal port towns,
from industrial river communities to peaceful floating markets and orchard canals — each route reveals a different layer of life connected to water.
We’ll paddle through:

✨ Bang Pho & Bang O — historic riverside communities shaped by the timber trade and modern urban transformation
✨ Tha Chalom & Mahachai — vibrant fishing port towns rich with Chinese-Thai maritime culture

Bangkok did not begin with highways or skytrains. It began with moats and waterways.
This trip takes you paddling along the historic edge of the old capital, tracing the city’s expansion from the founding of Rattanakosin through the reign of King Rama IV — a pivotal period when Bangkok was growing and opening to the outside world.
We will paddle along Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem, a canal excavated during King Rama IV’s reign to expand the royal city. It served both as a defensive moat and a vital transportation route — effectively the “outer city wall.” The canal connects the Chao Phraya River at Thewet in the north and Wat Kaew Fah in the south.
Once the lifeline of the city, today we paddle in the footsteps of that lifeline — almost the entire length of the canal. From water level, you’ll experience Bangkok from a perspective that once served as the city’s “main road.”

Paddling the Northern Chao Phraya, Bangkok
Join us on a paddle journey through Northern Bangkok, where the Chao Phraya River reveals stories of industry, migration, architecture, and riverside communities that have evolved alongside the water for generations.
This trip begins along the Bangkok–Nonthaburi border, exploring the historic districts of Bang Pho and Bang O — once one of Bangkok’s most important industrial waterfront zones. In the past, this stretch of river was lined with massive log rafts, sawmills, warehouses, and trading piers, serving as a key hub for timber and construction materials transported down from the northern provinces through the Chao Phraya River.
As Bangkok modernized, forest policies changed, dams were built upstream, and the city expanded, these industrial landscapes slowly transformed into urban riverside neighborhoods. Yet traces of the old river economy still remain hidden within narrow alleys, wooden houses, old piers, and local communities along the water.
During the journey, we paddle through both quiet canals and wide-open sections of the Chao Phraya River, experiencing the contrast between peaceful waterways and the scale of modern Bangkok. One of the highlights is viewing Thailand’s new Parliament building — “Sappaya-Sapasathan” — from water level. Its striking golden spire and monumental architecture blend contemporary design with symbolic references to Mount Meru and traditional Thai cosmology.
We’ll continue past the riverside neighborhoods of Bang O and Bang Pho, areas shaped by Thai-Chinese communities, carpenters, dock workers, and generations of river-based livelihoods. Along the route, you’ll see old shrines, traditional shop houses, wooden homes, and remnants of the city’s industrial past quietly coexisting with modern Bangkok.
Before ending the trip, we’ll stop to explore the local riverside community, take a short walk, and experience the slower rhythm of life along the Chao Phraya.

This Pa Pi Pie paddle journey takes you deep into the intricate canal network of the Mae Klong riverside communities, an area rich with the history of orchard culture, floating markets, and traditional canal-side living.
We’ll glide through narrow waterways lined with old wooden houses, coconut and lychee orchards, and peaceful garden communities where canals still connect directly to people’s homes. Along the route, you’ll experience the authentic charm of Thailand’s “water-based culture” through floating food boats, historic temples, riverside homes, and communities that continue to live closely with the water.
One of the highlights is paddling through Amphawa Floating Market from a unique “water-level perspective,” seeing the old wooden architecture and local life in the soft morning atmosphere before continuing into Khlong Wat Bang Chak, where the slow and beautiful rhythm of canal-side orchard life still remains.
This trip is more than just paddling— it’s a journey back to the true spirit of Amphawa, told through its waterways.
