Saint Marlo part 2…

Lots of things to explore in this old city we thought we’d share with you some of our stops!

Definitely check out the natural sea diving pool we watched someone diving in looked bloody cold but very majestic! Also a walk to the island Grand Bé which has an old cemetery and tomb we unfortunately didn’t have time to do this due to the tide we left it too late you only get a 3 hour window to walk it!

Lots of lovely little shops to explore in the old walled city, some lovely interior design shops which were out of our price range but lovely to enjoy for half hour or so to let our dinner go down 😆

Dinner at the Brasserie des
Voyageurs you are honestly spoilt for choice there are so many lovely traditional french restaurants but us being us on holiday we fancied burgers 🤣

Head to the Maison Hector Cafe they have a team of people making fresh waffles and crepes anything covered in chocolate you can’t walk past and not stop by!

A drink in the coolest bar/hotel I’Univers it’s full of sea catches by this we mean shark heads, puffa fish’s and tales of the seaman who we think is the owner travelling round the world, it’s bizzar but grab a drink and look around it’s actually so cool!

Sometimes it’s good to just get away spend some time together just, laughing, eating and drinking and taking in the day in a new place.

Saint-Malo trip…

After being told by Sara’s parents that they loved Saint-Malo a place we wouldn’t have given much thought, we decided to book a trip there!

We fancied something different so checked the types of travel there and found a mini 2 day cruise offer with Brittany ferries to Saint-Malo and back overnight crossing cabin and meal included for £145pp!

We booked the cheapest room as we new we wouldn’t spend much time there and would be off exploring the boat and having a few bevs 😜

They got us off the boat super early which we weren’t expecting but we managed to find a sweet little cafe and bakery in the walled city to wake up in!

With some time to kill we walked all of the walled city and headed out to the beaches which were beautiful! Despite the early start, we actually filled our day up with so much, so part 2 to follow if you want some restaurants and places to see in Saint-Malo!

Sara likes to get a cheeky road trip nap in, Colin likes to make sure it’s documented…

If you’ve not been able to feel your hands or feet whilst winter rides we personally don’t think your doing it right….

Thailand part 3…

Probably one of our favourite days was hiring a boat to explore the islands! Met back up with our pals Holly and Archie and we spent a bit more money on a private boat hire for just the 4 of us…

Up early in the morning to meet our crew and we were off on our wooden motor long boat🤣

They took us from one island to the next taking us to some really remote places and some insane swim spots, they even provided us with lunch and drinks for the day!

We all said it was probably one of the best things we did, the views, the weather the whole experience felt like a movie it was just amazing!

Although a lot of things in Thailand are cheap enough, sometimes it’s worth just spending that little bit more for an experience that you’ll probably only come across once in life!

Thailand part two… Krabi!

We jetted over to Krabi probably one of our favourite islands! We had no set plans no return flights booked we had nine days ahead of us to fill our time with whatever we wanted…

So of course we hired some scooters 155cc from riding bigger bikes Sara was a bit sceptical at first and especially because of all the traffic, however as soon as she jumped on and rode down the road she was absolutely buzzing! 😂 We started from one end of the island took the coast road and cruised all the way to the other side.

Again with no set plans we just stopped when we saw something beautiful or interesting to look at along the way, some amazing urbexes that you can see over on Collins YouTube channel The Bearded Explorer. Some beautiful scenic views which we stopped to talk to the locals and have some food. We climbed Tiger Temple which was stupidly hard but incredible views at the top were so worth it.

After spending our days and enduring the madness on the Thai roads and exploring, we usually spent our evenings eating some amazing food, getting a massage and being slumped on a beach together drink in hand taking in this beautiful country

Stay tuned for part three where we had probably our most memorable day in Krabi, before we head to our final stop. Sometimes unplanned trips turn out to be the best one no itineraries needed. Let’s just go and make some memories.

🇹🇭 Thailand part 1…

We’ve both been fortunate to of been to of previously been to Thailand, but we thought we should make some memories together… we booked our flights and 7 month later it was happening!

We flew with our friend Holly and Archie,l and did not book a direct flight which was a it mistake 🤣 we were all shattered and was probably the hardest flight to d donor lives!

We started in Ayuthaya a beautiful bit of Thailand full of ancient history. We floated down the famous market and al got dressed and bought clothes from the locals!

Explorer the ancient ruins of Ayuthaya and saw the Buddha head entwined in the tree and of course a picture in front for GOODLUCK!

We got boat and headed down the river to see the restored ruins of chaiwattanaram which was breathtaking to walk around and the boat on the river was such a funny experience!

Definitely add Ayuthaya to your Thailand bucket list, part 2 coming and we head to the islands! 🏝️

Lanzarote part 2…

We hired Can Am Buggies! We went in convoy with some others driving into the mountains. The dust was very intense so we were told to bring balaclavas of some kind it was like being in mad mad!

It was also bloody freezing as we got higher which we were not prepared for in our shorts and T-shirts 😅

We came across a farmer with a camel having his lunch which Colin asked and pent €5 to sit on it so we took a picture for proof 😂

We treated ourselves to a lovely fish platter dinner that day but both actually felt rather sick from it that evening 🤢 🐟 💩

We think Lanzarote gets given a bad rep for an inclusion holiday destination but you can man it what you want like we did, if you want to explore and do different things you can there is plenty to do as we don’t like to sit still! Or if you want to be a beach bum and sit by a pool for a week then sure thing no judgment here!

Go visit those places that aren’t on your bucket list!

Lanzarote part 1…

Lanzarote was never on our bucket list, but we saw such cheap flights that we thought f**k it let’s go and explore!

We hired cheap push bikes for the day for €15, and set off cycling down the coastline to see what we could find! Cycling in Lanzarote was very easy as they have lots of cycle paths over there…

We saw an amazing shipwreck, the beautiful Manrique Gardens and some barren but stunning landscapes full of beaches, so a few swim stops were a must!

We of course had the finest dining experience of a Lanzarote McDonalds as we passed one and it would be criminal not to 😂

Ended with the majority of our evenings slopped on a beach bar sofa with a bottle of red wrapped in each other and a blanket as it’s very windy on the islands and slightly chilly in the evenings! 🥶

Stay tuned for Lanzarote part 2…
