How to move on our beautiful island Phuket?
There are many ways how to move on Phuket. Everybody is trying to find the cheapest and the most comfortable way to move here.
Getting from the airport to your hotel:
The easiest and the most expensive one will be taking a taxi, if you travel in the group of 4 it is not bad. It depends where you are going but the price will be from 400-1000 baht.
There are also busses, which are the best way to go if you are traveling alone. Getting to the other side of the island will cost you about 250 baht.
Moving on the island:
If you didn't rent a car from the airport yet you have to decide how to move.
Taxis, if you want to go across the island will cost you a fortune. You can rent a motorbike if you have a driving license category A. Or simply just rent a car from the nearby rental shop.
Prices:
Taxi is going to cost you at least 300 baht every time you get in. You can check the taxi price with app GrabTaxi. You can order a taxi on this app or just catch the taxi and ask for the same price.
Renting motorbike will cost you 200-250 baht a day for a smaller motorbike (honda scoopy/honda click), about 300-350 for a bigger motorbike(honda pcx/yamaha n-max) and about 500-600 baht for a big automatic motorbike (honda forza/yamaha x-max). Of course, if you rent for a longer time(at least 1 week) you can get a discount.
Renting a car in a local shop will cost you 800-1000 baht a day. Taking it for at least a week will get you a better price. Make sure the vehicles have valid insurance. And if you take a car make sure it has 1st class insurance, so if something happens you are not going to pay millions for fixing it.
