Africa's Supply Chain and Logistics industry in the age of sustainability..

While sustainability continues to be a primary area of concern for every industry, the discussions around this topic for the retail vertical are rather different. One of the primary reasons behind this is that sustainability is viewed as something that can incur additional expenses.

However, the fact is that Logistician easily achieve sustainability by merely building more efficient processes within their supply chains. This can include optimising packaging, choosing better delivery routes, digitising paperwork, cutting down on loss, and more.

Logistics for good: Delivering life-saving hummantarian relief goods in remote South Sudan, MIT Africa Logistics overcomes a range of unusual challenges to deliver hummantarian goods to remote areas in South Sudan.

The team faces a set of complex challenges from unfinished roads, poor telecommunications networks and inclement weather. Despite the limited technology available on the ground, the team carries out meticulous logistics planning in order to successfully deliver goods to remote Areas. Their agile and creative approach allows them to use logistics for good.

Despite the unusual circumstances they face, the MIT Africa team is determined to deliver, the team does whatever it takes to ensure delivery is completed.
