All yelled with Joy as Sunday, 26Th March, 2017, staff of SLAA, airport stakeholders and the people of Sierra Leone eulogised with excitement as they received the long lost flight KLM that jetted in and once more touched the tar mark of the FNA. This royal flight ceased operations ever since the raging moments of the dreadful rebel war in country. The fact that it has resurfaced this 2017,is a significant milestone in the aviation sector. For this has shown today a crescendoing and a magnificently reoccurrence of lasting peace in the country. This has thus laid thread bear the ground for more flights to flow into the aerodrome of FNA in tandem with existing ones. Please see photographic evidence of its debut:

Sierra Leone Airports Authority (SLAA) on Wednesday, 15th March, 2017, joined other key stakeholders to receive the five man delegation inclusive of The President of the Common Wealth Games Federation, Dr. Louise Martin, as they arrived on board Brussels Airline at FNA @ 1700 hrs from Buckingham Palace with the Queen's Baton Relay. The purpose of touring with the Baton amongst Common Wealth Nations is to convey a passionate message to the athletics and sports fans from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for the pending Gold Coast 4th - 15th April, 2017, celebration of the Common Wealth Day.
The occasion was climaxed as the lite Baton was passed onto the Paramount Chief on behalf of the President and people of Sierra Leone interspersed traditional dancers.
