NOTICE OF UPGRADE ON THE OPERATIONS & MANAGMENT OF CTN IN SIERRA LEONE


We are pleased to inform all exporters, importers, shippers, clearing and forwarding agents, mining companies and all relevant stakeholders of the maritime industry that Logistics Solutions and Service (LSS) has shifted from its previous domain name (https://ctn-sl.sgs.com) to a new domain (http://ctn-slngs.com)


In line of the above, the Management wishes to inform all that effective today 27th November 2020; all Cargo Tracking Note (CTN) & MRN submissions and related activities must be done on the new platform - http://ctn-slngs.com.

Cargo Tracking Note certificate contains detailed information on cargo and its movement between ports. It’s also enables Marine Custom Authorities to access information about exporter/importer, shipping route and methods, type and value of the cargo, the value of the freight as well as the details about commodity being carried.

CTN certificate is an official loading document that must be accompanied by every cargo shipment with Leone as the final destination.

The CTN requirement was implemented by Sierra Leone Customs officials in 2000, obliging Exporters / Freight Forwarders to obtain this certificate for shipment before they touch Sierra Leone shores.

Failing to present valid CTN document at request will lead to consequences and a fine.

We can provide this certification Online, within 24 hours if you submit the necessary documents and meet the requirement listed below.

The primary aim of the CTN is to contribute to the substantial reduction of risk, real-time monitoring and reliable assessments of import goods, their shippers, importers, and other details.
Requirements:

👍 BILL OF LADING - a Draft copy can be used for the draft

👍 COMMERCIAL INVOICE - Incoterm, reference, and the date have to be mentioned.

👍 FREIGHT INVOICE - It has to be provided if the freight value is not mentioned on the commercial invoice
