If you think cycling from Czechia to Kyrgyzstan is an ambitious undertaking, how about doing it with a disability, on a handcycle, navigating wild camping, inaccessible infrastructure and headwinds? Aleš Černohous with Šarka Jelinková (Chair Riders) took on this challenge and, despite having little experience in cycle touring, cycled over 6,000 km in 110 days.

Travelling on a handcycle from Czechia to Kyrgyzstan is not a piece of cake. But Chairriders proved that it's possible!

Nothing tastes better than cycling in the mountains. Although the weather was quite moody, four days of slowly cycling around the Tatra Mountains felt like the best way to say goodbye to the summer. Of course, I wouldn't be myself if I didn't modify the original Around the Tatra loop, opting for more climbs and staying as close to the High Tatras as possible.

It was in the depths of the pandemic when Dries, a Belgian cyclist, decided to invite people to stay in his parents' garden and posted about it online. Five years later, Welcome To My Garden is a powerful community with over 8000 gardens and thousands of slow travellers. I recently had the pleasure to talk with WTMG co-founder, Manon, about the beginnings of this project, and how it helps to combat social isolation and encourages cyclists and hikers to enjoy mini-adventures.

Discover *Welcome To My Garden*—a network for slow travelers to camp in locals' gardens & connect with like-minded adventurers.

Four days of hiking were filled with unspoiled nature, fresh local food, Balkan music, exciting conversations, genuine kindness, cute dogs trying to guide our group, and a sense of real adventure. What more could one wish for?

When I read that the TransDinarica route was finally ready this year, I knew I had to plan a trip to the Balkans and test at least a couple of stages. Cycling from Podgorica to Sarajevo was an unforgettable adventure, with stunning landscapes, remote mountain roads, strenuous climbs, kind people and the friendliest and cutest dogs (these two in the picture followed me for more than 10 kilometres of a lonely mountain road). I couldn't imagine a better end of the summer!

You don't always need to travel far and for long to have great adventures. Last weekend's overnighter from the Owl Mountains to the Czech Giant Mountains had it all: stunning views, exciting hairpin roads, exhausting climbs, tasty food and last but not least, great company!. And even though I got a pretty bad cold after we got soaked on Sunday, it was still worth it!

Oprócz chłonięcia wzrokiem sielskich krajobrazów w górach Bułgarii, odwiedziłam też szczególne miejsce- Sanktuarium Niedźwiedzi w Belitsa. Miejsce, w którym tańczące niedźwiedzie - ofiary okrutnej tradycji - znalazły schronienie po latach tortur.

Historia tańczących niedźwiedzi, tradycji popularnej niegdyś w Bułgarii, Indiach i wielu innych krajach, jest pełna okrucieństwa.
