A small taste of the first longer ride this year, through the Slovak part of the Carpathians. From National park High Tatras through Liptov region, national park Malá Fatra and Kysuce region to Czech - Slovakia - Poland tri-border... A small personal opening of the 2026 season. I also used it to test the (new to me) INSTA 360X5 camera. I will still have to do something with the sound quality, despite the fact that I used an external DJI mic2 microphone, the exhaust sound is very inconsistent and full of noise...
(any advice for improvement is welcome)

Lunch stop in Orava. Today managed to cross the borders of 3 countries (Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia). The temperature started at 2 degrees in the morning, now it's a more bearable 9. 🤣

Finally, after a few sunny days, it was possible to take the motorbike out and get some fresh air at 13 degrees. The roads are still full of gravel and wet here and there, but with a little caution, you can also ride on ice...😂

Hello to everyone who was interested in my last post about Touratech shock absorbers change. I did a short test ride today, about 60 km, but the weather is pretty sh*tty here, so I just noticed that the shock absorbers are much stiffer on the medium setting than the original ones, bike is more stable and steering more precise. Of course, there is a possibility to adjust the additional stiffness and other parameters on each shock absorber, but that would require experimentation in better weather. My currently worn tires are not quite suitable for temperatures around 5° C and wet and cold asphalt... I rolled over on the ground right in the fifth corner... 🤣 So I preferred to drive more carefully after that. That's why I wasn't able to test it properly, as it would have deserved...
I will do update in better weather and with more km driven...

Great winter upgrade, the Touratech extreme suspension set, I can't wait to test it... and it doesn't matter at all that it's only 1° C outside here in the Carpathians. Tomorrow we're riding... 😎🤪
