What an incredible six months!

From April 13 to October 13, 2025, our Slovak Exposition at EXPO 2025 Osaka became a home of culture, innovation, and friendship.

We welcomed over two million visitors, hosted ten international delegations, and shared more than sixty performances by Slovak artists — with an average of 21,000 visitors every day.
But what mattered most were the smiles, emotions, and shared moments that can’t be counted.
Thank you to everyone who visited, collaborated, and made these 184 days unforgettable.

What a day it was!

At the Spanish Pavilion, EU Member States came together to celebrate the end of our shared Expo adventure — a joyful, heartfelt farewell to months of collaboration, creativity, and friendship.
Our family photo with EU flags perfectly captured the spirit of unity. And when the “Ode to Joy” played on Asturian bagpipes, the whole room felt that special bond that connects us all as Europeans.
Slovakia is proud to have been part of this shared story — a celebration of culture, cooperation, and community.

Our exhibition continues to be a hub of culture, innovation, and international connections. Visitors can still enjoy Slovak wines, interactive games, LED displays of our castles, and many special events before the expo closes on October 13.

Folklore and traditional costumes always put a smile on her face.
If the Slovak Exhibition had a soundtrack, she’d pick a song by Karol Duchoň – full of pride and joy of life.

SARIO supports Slovak companies in expanding abroad, attracting investors, and connecting innovation with real-world projects.

Together, we exchanged stories about Slovakia and Japan, and shared the flavors of Slovak wines. Each sip carried the spirit of our regions and a piece of our cultural identity.

We’re proud that Slovakia had the chance to shine at the EU x Japan Animation Business Workshop in Osaka, which took place in the European Pavilion.

This unique event gathered top professionals from across Europe and Japan — producers, distributors, festival directors, and more — all working together to build bridges and strengthen future collaboration in animation.

Among them was Slovak producer Agata Novinski, who proudly brought Slovak creativity and imagination to the global stage. For us, it was more than just an event — it was a chance to show that Slovakia is not only a country of beautiful nature, but also a land rich in art, culture, and powerful storytelling.

Chefs Martin Záhumenský and Patrik Plates crafted a dinner that celebrated Slovak cuisine in the most authentic way – with creativity, passion, and heart.

It was a true honor to welcome Noriaki Kasai, the legendary Japanese ski jumper, to the Slovak exhibition!
He admired our mountains and the winter landscapes presented in our video projection. He was genuinely captivated by the beauty of Slovakia’s snowy scenery.
