When new technology arrives on the warehouse floor, the real question is what happens to the people working beside it.

That question shaped our time with business leaders on the Singapore Business Federation Future-Ready Business Spotlight visit, joined by Guest-of-Honour, Ms Yeo Wan Ling, MP and Chairperson of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Manpower.

Our answer is to redesign jobs so people and AI work side by side, and our people take on higher-value work as a result. We back this with “Pay for Application”, where our Skills Allowance rewards colleagues for putting new skills to work on the job, not just for completing a course.

As a SkillsFuture Queen Bee, we also share what we’ve learned with the SMEs in our supply chain, from practical frameworks to AI-readiness tools and workplace learning. When our partners grow stronger, so does the whole network.

None of this happens alone. We work closely with NTUC Singapore, our Institutes of Higher Learning, government agencies and SBF to keep Singapore’s workforce ready for what comes next.

The best part of the visit was the conversation. Leaders asked thoughtful questions about automation, AI and how Singapore keeps its national stockpiles ready, and openly shared the challenges in their own businesses.

Thank you to SBF for organising the visit, to Ms Yeo for her warm and thoughtful engagement, and to every business leader who joined us.

In conjunction with World Mental Health Day, ST Logistics brought colleagues together for an afternoon of learning, relaxation and meaningful activities centred on well-being.

Through the wellness talk, “The Sandwich Generation Survival Guide,” colleagues gained practical insights into balancing family responsibilities, work commitments and personal well-being.

The event also marked the appointment and re-appointment of the company's Para Counsellors, recognising their commitment to fostering a caring and supportive workplace.

Colleagues explored a variety of wellness booths, from chiropractic care and essential oils to refreshing kombucha, fresh fruits and keychain making, promoting relaxation and healthier lifestyles.

The STL Give & Grow Booth also offered an opportunity to give pre-loved items a second life while supporting a meaningful cause.

Beyond the activities, the event provided a chance for colleagues to unwind, connect with one another and take a well-deserved break from their daily routines.

We believe that stronger teams begin with healthier people. Through greater awareness, open conversations and mutual support, we continue building a workplace where everyone feels valued and supported.

We are humbled to receive three awards at this year’s Singapore HR Awards.

🏆 Excellence in People Development - Bronze
🏆 Excellence in Workplace Culture - Silver
🏆 Excellence in Workplace Innovation - Silver

Behind them is a belief we keep coming back to.

Powered by Purpose. Driven by Innovation. Championed by People.

You see it most in how we learn. Not in classrooms, but on the job. When we automate, we reskill, so our people grow with the technology. We call it No Jobless Growth.

You see it in how we treat one another, guided by a shared set of values we call our Culture Compass.

And you see it in our people’s ideas. This past year, they turned over 450 into real projects.

It takes many hands. Our Company Training Committee, our leaders and our Learning Officers keep learning alive every day. Together, we reached over 90% attainment for our Skills Allowance.

These awards belong to every STL employee. Singapore counts on us to keep critical supplies moving, and that starts with people who keep growing.

ST Logistics was pleased to host the STL Freight Forum 2026, bringing together representatives from Ministry of Defence, Singapore (MINDEF), Singapore Armed Forces, DSTA Defence Science and Technology Agency, government agencies, industry partners, and logistics professionals for a morning of insightful discussions and knowledge sharing.

In today's increasingly complex operating environment, global supply chains continue to face challenges arising from geopolitical tensions, evolving export control regulations, sanctions regimes, and disruptions to critical trade routes. For organisations involved in the movement of military and strategic goods, staying ahead of these developments is more important than ever.

This year's forum was specially curated to address issues that are directly relevant to the defence and strategic logistics community. Participants gained valuable insights into:

✅ Multi-jurisdictional legal considerations for the transit and transshipment of military and military end-use items

✅ U.S. export controls and customs compliance requirements, complemented by practical case studies and lessons learned

✅ Emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in the air freight and maritime sectors

Beyond the presentations, the forum provided a valuable platform for dialogue, networking, and the exchange of perspectives between government agencies, regulators, legal experts, and logistics practitioners.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our distinguished speakers, partners, and all participants for contributing to the success of this year's forum. Your active engagement and thoughtful discussions made the event both meaningful and impactful.

In a world where uncertainty has become the norm, trusted partnerships and resilient supply chains are no longer a competitive advantage, they are a necessity. Together, we remain committed to delivering with reliability, professionalism and excellence, no matter the circumstances.

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of welcoming 28 students from the SUSS Supply Chain Interest Group (SCIG) to our Healthcare Warehouse for an immersion journey into the world of healthcare logistics.

Through the visit, students gained firsthand insights into how innovation, automation and operational excellence come together to ensure the efficient and reliable delivery of critical healthcare supplies.

At ST Logistics, we are passionate about supporting workforce and talent development by providing opportunities for students to experience supply chain operations firsthand. Through visits such as these, we hope to offer practical insights into how emerging technologies, automation and operational excellence are shaping the future of healthcare logistics.

We are encouraged to see the strong interest from students and look forward to continuing our collaboration with educational institutions to develop future-ready logistics professionals.

[25 Sep] ST Logistics hosted our Workplace Learning Symposium 2026 at Republic Polytechnic, themed Accelerate. Transform. Upskill through AI. For every organisation. For every individual.

The symposium brought together SMEs from our SkillsFuture Queen Bee network, alongside industry and education partners, to explore how organisations of every size can navigate the shift toward AI and digitalisation.

A highlight of the symposium was the renewal of our MOU with Republic Polytechnic, signed by our CEO Mr Loganathan Ramasamy and RP's Principal and CEO Ms Jeanne Liew. This partnership has grown our talent pipeline and workforce capabilities over the years, and the renewal opens new ground in areas like agentic AI and robotics.

We also premiered videos charting our journey as SkillsFuture Queen Bee for the Supply Chain sector, including the launch of our Smart Storage and Retrieval System (SSRS), an AI-enabled, automated system that has transformed how we store and retrieve inventory at our warehouse.

Two fireside chats brought industry leaders together to discuss the future of work. The first saw Mr Michael Low, Mr Terence Kok and Mr Danny Teo Yong Song share their perspectives, moderated by Mr Ian Loe. The second featured Ms Belinda Ng, Mr Edmund Chan, Mr Bok Chong Kia and Ms Irene Yap, moderated by Ms Azizah Mohd.

Our SME partners also had the opportunity to connect directly with exhibitor booths from Republic Polytechnic, the Skills & Workforce Development Agency (SWDA), NTUC Training and Transformation, Supply Chain Employees’ Union - SCEU, Employment & Employability Institute, e2i, Institute of Technical Education, Singapore, NACE Led by NYP, National University of Singapore, NTUC LearningHub, Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore, Singapore Business Federation, SGTech and Microsoft Singapore, gaining access to a wide range of resources and support.

From the fireside conversations to the marketplace booths, participants left with fresh perspectives and practical takeaways to bring back to their own organisations.

A big thank you to our partners, exhibitors and participants for making the day such a success.

ST Logistics is proud to be awarded the WSH Awards Performance (Silver) 2026.

The Workplace Safety and Health Awards recognise organisations that have shown real commitment to keeping their people safe, and this recognition reflects the discipline our teams bring to safety and health practices across our operations, day in and day out.

Safety is never a one-off effort. It's built through consistent standards, vigilance, and a workforce that looks out for one another. This award belongs to everyone.

To every colleague who makes safety a habit, not just a policy, thank you!

Proud to see this story in The Straits Times.

At ST Logistics, our automation journey has never just been about faster systems, it's been about the people behind them. Frederick Wong Wei Quan, featured in this piece, is a great example of that: from manual handling to managing the software and troubleshooting the robotics behind our latest warehouse automation.

This is what upskilling looks like in practice, real people, growing into real new roles, as the technology around them evolves.

Read the full story in the link below.

The new system uses 14 autonomous shuttles to store and retrieve goods across 23 storeys of racks. Read more at straitstimes.com.
