We do not give in to blackmailing and also would like to make some clarifications against the post here. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/xENCZqUFXDZCRs9M/?mibextid=oFDknk .
Pardon for the lengthy post from here:
1. 30/8/24, 7pm - He rented RXZ, bike is tested upon collection with good respond, even mentioned the interest of buying over the bike.
2. 31/8/24, 1am - We received a text from rider that our bike broke down, despite during midnight, we still did our best to assist to rider's urgency, we arranged for towing for him and arranged for a bike replacement on the next day, time taken will be compensated.
3. 31/8/24, 11am, The very next day - Rider reached shop and bike has towed back, we open up the bike and check in front of the rider, what caused the bike to break down - piston damaged as can be seen from the photo.
Next, we received calls and texts from the rider's Father, seeking for refund. Despite knowing the reason could be due to rider's negligence and forming a hole at piston, yet we still agreed to refund the rider out of goodwill.
Lastly, rider signed and payment has been refunded. Attached is the payment voucher.
We would like to address such statements made by rider's father is invalid and also unreasonable.
- Despite giving out replacement bike, rider refuse to take it and insist on refunds, which we agreed
- Despite on the midnight text, we're still attending to rider's issues
- Despite bike piston issue could be highly due to rider's negligence, we're absorbing the cost and still refunding to rider out of goodwill
- Despite on the unreasonable verbal abuse by the rider's father during the conversation, we're still handling this matter professionally to our best ability.
*Please take note we did NOT receive a single cent from rider at all despite the breakdown of the bike and the terms and conditions stated on our rental agreement.
We do not know why he took photos of our other bikes and post here. Here we will show everything to the public including our chat logs. The hirer Khairudin, rented out RXZ for 3 days total $170. I have also attached his rental agreement form, the refund voucher he signed here. Under point 7, we do not cover engine overhaul due to hirer's negligence (Be it negligence to come for servicing, misusing the bike).
Summary:
We decided to let this matter off and we both agreed to refund back $100. He took the cash and signed a refund form. After awhile the father send a few more voice messages, asking for more money, if not he will post us on the social media. We do not give in to such blackmailing threats. WE DID NOT collect any money from him for the damages, instead we refunded him.
