MBCCS has implemented temperature screening on all arriving passengers since 24 January 2020. In line with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)’s extension of the precautionary measures to minimise the risk of community spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), we have also implemented additional measures such as disallowing passengers and crew members with recent travel history to mainland China within the last 14 days, as well as ships whose previous ports of call in the last 14 days including mainland China, from 1 February 2020. In addition, we have put in additional measures such as stringent and regular sanitisation of the terminal, and also placed advisories issued by MOH in our terminal.
The Singapore Tourism Board and MPA had also informed cruise lines to observe the precautionary measures issued by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
From 1 February 2020, all arriving vessels with crew and passengers that have called at ports in mainland China in the past 14 days are also required to submit Maritime Declaration of Health Form to the National Environment Agency’s Port Health.
MBCCS has not turned away any ships to date, as they have met the requirements of calling into Singapore as stipulated above.
You may check the MOH website (www.moh.gov.sg) for updates on confirmed cases of 2019-nCoV infection.
