MEDIA ANNOUNCEMENT

RTSO expects to complete all system tests and trial runs by 31 December 2026. Passenger service is currently expected to commence in February 2027, subject to third-party safety certification and approval by both Grantors.

If you spotted some men and women in dark blue in the sea of red during the National Day Parade (NDP) weekends, those were our friends from RTSO on their learning journey! 👋🏻

Twenty-one RTSO team members crossed the border to join us at Nicoll Highway (🟠CC5) and Stadium (🟠CC6) stations, where they saw first-hand how our station staff manage large crowds during an event such as the NDP. They took away valuable on-ground insights into:
▶️ Queue management and controlled passenger releases
▶️ Wet-weather contingency plans
▶️ Real-time coordination with the Operations Control Centre
▶️ Clear passenger guidance and wayfinding

Some lessons can't be replicated in a classroom or simulation. With the RTS Link expected to carry up to 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction, hands-on experience like this helps RTSO colleagues prepare for the safe and smooth start of passenger service.

We're always happy to support and learn from one another as preparations for the RTS Link continue! 👏🏻

Terima kasih kepada Menteri Pengangkutan, YB Loke Siew F**k atas lawatan ke RTS Link serta perhatian berterusan terhadap perkembangan projek dan kesiapsiagaan operasi.

Sebagai pengendali perkhidmatan RTS Link Johor Bahru–Singapura, RTSO kini memberi tumpuan kepada kesiapsiagaan operasi, seiring dengan projek yang memasuki fasa penting integrasi sistem, pengujian dan pentauliahan.

Keutamaan kami adalah memastikan petugas, proses dan sistem bersedia untuk memberikan perkhidmatan yang selamat, lancar dan boleh dipercayai.

RTSO akan terus bekerjasama rapat dengan rakan projek serta agensi di Malaysia dan Singapura bagi memastikan kesiapsiagaan menyeluruh menjelang permulaan perkhidmatan penumpang RTS Link.

A little throwback to a big learning experience ! 🚆

During Singapore’s 61st National Day, our RTSO team joined SMRT colleagues on the ground to experience first-hand what it takes to keep rail operations moving during a major event — from crowd management and coordination to quick decision-making and teamwork.

And the learning doesn’t stop here. This is one of many hands-on training, exercises and operational experiences our team is going through as we prepare for the RTS Link.

Our appreciation to SMRT for the opportunity to learn alongside their teams on the ground.

A meaningful day of learning and another step forward in our operational readiness journey. 💪
