As we enter into 2017, I will like to share the moments from our most recent event which happened in early Dec (better late than never!) This block party sums up the Megalifers' journey of befriending the elderly in Year 2016, with a handful of them who had started doing so since last year (as part of their church's initiative called "Lovewalk" to encourage the youths to walk the talk, literally speaking). Elderly befriending was something foreign to most, if not all, just like how it was for many in the CIC community, including myself. I thought there's no better way to sum up this "Lovewalk" by challenging them to organise something for the elderly. Among those who volunteered to join the committee, the youngest was sec. 2. I feel very proud of this group of youths who have completed the challenge well. Just look at the smiles on the elderly's faces :)

4 Dec 2016 | A group of youths from Riverlife Church (they call themselves the "Megalifers") took up the challenge of organising a block party for the elderly, from sending out the invites, to planning the games and logistics. Look at how much fun they had together!
