Travel Advisory – Border Safety Measures in Place Across Eastern and Northeastern Thailand

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) advises that heightened security measures are now in effect across seven provinces along the Thailand–Cambodia border—Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, Surin, Buri Ram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, and Trat—due to ongoing security incidents. Martial law remains enforced in designated districts.

General Travel Situation in Thailand
The rest of Thailand continues to operate as normal. Domestic and international services—including air, bus, ferry, and rail (except the suspended section in Sa Kaeo)—are running as usual. Popular destinations such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Samui, Krabi, Pattaya, and Ayutthaya remain unaffected and continue to welcome visitors. Travellers are advised to follow official updates and plan accordingly.

Martial law remains in effect in the following districts of Chanthaburi: Mueang Chanthaburi, Tha Mai, Makham, Laem Sing, Kaeng Hang Maew, Na Yai Am, and Khao Khitchakut; and in Trat’s Khao Saming district. Travellers are urged to follow all instructions from local authorities and security personnel in these areas.

This advisory will continue to be updated as the situation develops. Travellers are encouraged to check back regularly for the latest information.

We would like to kindly inform you of an important new entry requirement issued by the Immigration Bureau of Thailand for all non-Thai visitors.

🚨 NEW ENTRY REQUIREMENT – Effective 1 May 2025
Starting 01 May 2025, all non-Thai travellers entering Thailand must complete the new Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) prior to arrival.

The TDAC form includes passport details, travel information, and accommodation address in Thailand. It can be submitted up to three days in advance via the official TDAC website.

📝 How to Complete Your TDAC
To ensure a smooth entry process, please follow the steps below:

Access the portal:
Visit the official TDAC registration site at

Complete the form:
Enter your personal and trip information, including passport and accommodation details.

Submit and confirm:
Upon submission, you will receive an acknowledgement email at the address provided.

Arrival in Thailand:
Present your acknowledgement email and travel documents to the immigration officer for verification.

This new system is designed to improve the immigration process and enhance your travel experience. We'd like to ask all guests to complete the TDAC registration before departing for Thailand.
