Being employed and having a strong support system at work is crucial for an ex-offenderโs reintegration journey. This was the reintegration experience for Grace, a Customer Service Team Leader at XDel Singapore Pte Ltd .
โI was imprisoned for drug offences for almost six years and because of that, I could not take care of my family. While serving my sentence, I reflected and decided to turn over a new leaf, so I resumed my education while in prison. I was eventually selected for the Community-based Programme and placed in a halfway house.โ
Worried about her past affecting her career options, Grace was ecstatic to find XDel Singapore assessing her purely based on her own merits. โThey made me feel very comfortable and offered me the opportunity to work for them.โ
Today, Grace credits XDel for turning her life around. For Grace, employment support went a long way in stabilising and anchoring her reintegration journey. Thank you XDel for believing in second chances, and giving Grace self-confidence, a sense of purpose and the opportunity to successfully reintegrate into society.
