STGS notes CNA’s coverage of the challenges the current haze situation is presenting for Singapore’s outdoor tourism businesses, with some reporting a decline in bookings of up to 30 per cent.

The situation is a reminder of the importance of flexibility and resilience across the tourism sector. By adapting programmes, prioritising visitor safety and exploring suitable indoor experiences, we can continue to offer meaningful ways for visitors to discover Singapore.

STGS is proud to be a part of the Urban Sustainability Bike Tour at Joo Chiat on 3 October 2026, organised by Clean & Green Singapore in support of World Car-Free Day.

Participants explored Joo Chiat’s charming streets on two wheels, discovering the neighbourhood’s rich heritage while learning how sustainability can be part of our everyday lives. Our members were pleased to conduct the bike tours and were also deployed as marshals to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Our sincere thanks to SMS Janil Puthucheary for gracing the event, as well as to our partner, the National Environment Agency (NEA), for the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful community initiative. Together, we can make green living simple, meaningful and enjoyable!
