Our "Street Secrets in Little India" LEARN Classroom Course returns this month! On Tuesday, 30 June, join Licensed Tourist Guide and ACTA-certified adult trainer May Hui as she explores major historical milestones that shaped Little India, lesser-known historical figures and stories associated with the area, and how to plan thematic tours driven by storytelling.

STGS held our monthly tripartite meeting with representatives from the Singapore Tourism Board and the AREU - Attractions, Resorts & Entertainment Union.

The meeting was attended by STB representatives Ms Jessica Chang, Deputy Director, Tourist Guides Division, Claudia Sng, Senior Manager, Tourist Guides Division, STB, from AREU, Mr Junior Lim, Principal Industry Relations Officer, and from STGS, Mr Fred Quek, Secretary General, Mr. Mark Loon, Centre Manager.

Discussions included the Memorandum of Understanding between STGS and AREU, as well as ongoing efforts to strengthen support for tourist guides, enhance professional development opportunities, and build closer collaboration across the tourism ecosystem.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and working with our partners to support a stronger, more resilient, and future-ready guiding community.
