๐ŸšŒ Attention to passengers of Services 53M, 112, 113, 115, 119 and 146!

Due to road closure for the Paya Lebar National Day Carnival 2026, these services will skip the bus stop along Hougang Street 21, in front of Kovan Hub (63221), on Saturday, 8 August 2026, from 12pm to 10pm.

During this period, Services 53M and 115 will commence from the bus stop along Hougang Street 21, between Blocks 210/211 (63231).

โ€ข Service 53M will terminate at the bus stop along Hougang Street 21, opposite Block 211 (63239)

โ€ข Service 115 will terminate at the bus stop along Upper Serangoon Road, outside Kovan Station Exit C (63039).

Do you remember life before air-conditionersโ„๏ธ and LED lights๐Ÿ’ก? Back in the kampung days, a rattan fan๐Ÿชญ was all you needed to beat the heat, while a kerosene lamp๐Ÿฎ lit up the night.

Together with the feather duster ๐Ÿชถ and thermal flask โ˜•, these familiar household items now serve a new purpose! Featured on directional arrows and floor murals at Bishan Interchange, they help commuters living with dementia navigate to their boarding berths with greater confidence and independence. ๐ŸšŒ

Yesterday, we launched the Find Your Way initiative at Bishan Interchange together with Ms Elysa Chen ้™ˆ่ฏ—้Ÿต, Adviser to Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC Grassroots Organisations.

This meaningful community effort would not have been possible without the support of our wonderful partners: Dementia Singapore, Bishan Community Club, and Jun Kai, an artist with autism from ARTDIS, who collaborated with us to design and select murals that reflect Bishan's rich heritage. โœจ

Special thanks to the students from Peirce Secondary School for joining us to champion the Caring SG Commuters movement, showing how simple acts of kindness can help make everyday journeys more welcoming. ๐Ÿซถ

We often celebrate the Singapore we know. But what about the Singapore we don't often see? ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

This afternoon, our Wellness Village at DT32 Tampines Station shone a spotlight on the overlooked corners and untold stories of Singapore through a photography exhibition by social enterprise Holdinghands Studio SG, titled The Singapore We Don't Often See. ๐Ÿ“ธ

Featuring works captured by migrant workers, healthcare professionals, and persons with disabilities, the exhibition showcases a different side of Singapore, encouraging us to look beyond the familiar and see our communities from new perspectives.

Our bear mascot, Buzz, joined the Singapore Kindness Movement's Singa in welcoming guests and visitors, delighting both young and old. Photography workshops, nutrition talks, interactive installations and family-friendly activities also brought residents, commuters and visitors together for an afternoon of fun.

So the next time you're travelling on a bus or train, take a moment to look out the window. Beauty can often be found in the most unexpected places. ๐Ÿ‘€โค๏ธ

Project ๐ŸŽถ and the Punggol North Youth Network Flea Market ๐Ÿ›๏ธ are taking over Punggol Coast MRT Station this weekend with an exciting line-up of fun activities for all ages.

Sing along to your favourite National Day tunes, enjoy the delicious treats, browse pre-loved treasures and handmade collectibles, while supporting young entrepreneurs and community businesses.

Not every hero wears a cape. ๐Ÿฆธ๐Ÿฝ Some wear a Bus Captain's uniform. ๐Ÿ’œ

One rainy night ๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ, while driving Service 153 along Jalan Toa Payoh ๐ŸšŒ, Bus Captain Omri Bin Mohd Yusof noticed something that didn't look right. A few metres away from the bus stop, an elderly lady on a Personal Mobility Aid (PMA) was stranded by the roadside.

The side wheels of her PMA had slipped off the kerb, leaving it tilted awkwardly and unable to move forward. Another lady had already stopped to assist, but despite her best efforts, she was unable to lift the PMA because of its weight.

Seeing that they needed help, Omri safely pulled over and stepped out into the rain without hesitation. Realising that it would take more than two pairs of hands to get the PMA safely back on the pavement, he sought help from another passenger on board. Together, the three of them carefully lifted the PMA back onto the pavement within minutes. ๐Ÿ˜‡ After ensuring that the elderly lady was safe, Omri resumed his journey.

Sometimes, it's the simplest acts of kindness that leave the deepest impact. To Omri and the two other people who stepped forward to help, your compassion reminds us that the journey is always better when we look out for one another. โค๏ธ
