Did you know that our Berge Bulk seafarers wash more than 500,000 loads of laundry fleetwide annually?

Our laundry can have an impact we do not always see.

Together with , we are testing technology on board our ships that captures up to 97% of microfibres released during washing before they enter wastewater systems.

Through this pilot, we are exploring how a small, practical change to everyday laundry on board can contribute to healthier oceans.

Every meal counts.

This International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste, we're celebrating how our crew are helping make a difference through onboard hydroponics.
Since 2021, we've reduced average food waste per vessel by 20%, while harvesting over 1.4 metric tonnes of fresh produce annually.

What starts as a small growing system onboard contributes to healthier meals, reduce food waste, and promotes a more sustainable future for shipping.

Berge Bulk has been named Impact Enterprise of the Year at the Sustainability Impact Awards. 🏆

The award recognises our approach to sustainability: setting ambitious goals while focusing on practical action and measurable progress across decarbonisation, ocean stewardship, and the wellbeing of our people.

This recognition reflects the work of our colleagues at sea and on shore, and the partners who continue to work alongside us.

Each year, Berge Bulk recruits more than 60 cadets through our Cadet Progression Programme.

As part of their Pre-Sea training, 19 cadets in Manila visited Museo del Galeón to learn about the rich heritage of Filipino seafaring before rolling up their sleeves at Dolomite Beach, where they collected 300kg of plastic waste during a coastal clean-up.

Before they set sail on their maritime careers, our cadets are already learning what it means to care for the ocean.

Last week, our colleagues joined an intertidal walk with Just Keep Thinking to explore Singapore's marine biodiversity and collect 70 kg of plastic waste during a coastal clean-up at Sisters’ Islands Marine Park.

It was a great opportunity to learn more about the ecosystems around us, contribute to a healthier coastline, and spend time together outside the office.

Protecting our oceans starts with awareness and action, and every effort counts.

At sea, helping those in need is simply the right thing to do.

We are proud to receive the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore - MPA Safety@Sea Award for Outstanding Contribution to Search and Rescue Efforts. The award was accepted on behalf of Berge Bulk by Captain Malvin Feranil and Captain Harsh Makkar, Head of HSSEQ and Marine.

In January 2025, the crew of Berge Rosa diverted their voyage to rescue two rowers stranded in the Atlantic Ocean. Their quick action, teamwork, and professionalism helped bring the rowers safely on board.

A proud moment for the crew of Berge Rosa and all who supported the operation.👏
