🛑 Maersk Halts Chornomorsk Fishing Port Services

Maersk suspended all feeder services at Ukraine's Chornomorsk Fishing Port on July 22, citing crew, vessel, and cargo safety amid escalating Black Sea attacks.

🚢 Recent missile strikes on civilian ships have caused casualties and heavy damage. Ukraine has sought UN Security Council talks, but no resolution has been reached.

📋 Contingency measures:

Imports discharge at Constanța, Romania, with land transit to Ukraine.

Exporters can cancel bookings free or switch to Constanța with no extra freight.

🌾 Ukraine has lost over one-third of its Black Sea grain terminals. This suspension will further cut exports and push up global grain freight. More carriers expected to follow.

🚢 New Adriatic–East Med Feeder Route Launched

Global Feeder Shipping has introduced a new service, AES, linking Egypt with the Northern Adriatic.

Port rotation:
Port Said → Damietta → Koper → Venice → Port Said

Two vessels of ~1,800 TEU will operate on this loop.

Key partnership: Hapag-Lloyd has secured slot space and will market it under its ADX brand, replacing its previous arrangement with DP World.

Hapag-Lloyd has also launched a new Intra-Adriatic Service (IAS), connecting Venice, Ancona, and Rijeka to strengthen its regional feeder network.
