🇹🇼 Strengthening Connections with Taiwan’s Government & Innovation Ecosystem
As part of our Taiwan Business Mission, Sin Chew Woodpaq had the valuable opportunity to engage with key government agencies, research institutions, and science park representatives that play an important role in Taiwan’s innovation, enterprise, and semiconductor ecosystem.
We were honoured to meet Dr. G. J. Lee (李冠志), Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA) 經濟部中小及新創企業署 under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs. The discussion provided meaningful insights into SME development, startup innovation, and cross-border collaboration opportunities between Taiwan and Singapore.
Our visit to the Industrial Technology Research Institute 工業技術研究院 (ITRI) also gave us a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s research capabilities, technology development, and how innovation continues to support future industries. We sincerely appreciate the sharing from Mr. Milton H.C. Deng , International Affairs Officer, Strategic Business Group, Industry and Technology International Strategy Center (ISTI), for his valuable insights during the visit.
We were also pleased to visit Hsinchu Science Park (HSP), one of Taiwan’s leading technology and semiconductor hubs, and sincerely appreciate the sharing from Mr. Hu Shih-Min (胡世民), Director General of the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau, on the park’s development and its role in supporting Taiwan’s semiconductor industry.
In addition, our visit to Central Taiwan Science Park (CTSP) further broadened our understanding of Taiwan’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem and the strong infrastructure supporting high-value industries. We sincerely appreciate the sharing from Mr. Wang Chun-Chieh , Deputy Director General of CTSP, for his insights on CTSP’s development and its contribution to Taiwan’s technology and semiconductor landscape.
Through these engagements, Sin Chew Woodpaq gained valuable insights into Taiwan’s innovation landscape, strengthened regional connections, and explored new perspectives to better support the evolving needs of high-value manufacturing and semiconductor supply chains.
