[28th ASEAN Single Window Steering Committee Meeting, 20 – 22 Apr 2022]
The trade and customs representatives from all ASEAN Member States met virtually to discuss the progress of the initiatives under the ASEAN Single Window (ASW). These initiatives included the current live exchange of electronic trade documents such as the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement e-Form D and the ASEAN Customs Declaration Document, which will further facilitate trade and bring about convenience and cost savings for the business community.
The three-day meeting, chaired by Deputy Director-General (Policy & Facilitation) of Singapore Customs, Mr Lim Teck Leong, also included consultation sessions with various ASEAN Dialogue Partners including China, Japan, Korea and the United States, to explore the expansion of the ASW, and members from the ASEAN Business Advisory Council.
