🌸 Midsummer in Sweden – Glad Midsommar! 🇸🇪
Midsummer (Midsommar) is one of Sweden’s most beloved holidays – a joyful celebration of light, nature, and togetherness held around the summer solstice, the longest day of the year.
It’s a time to escape the city, head to summer cottages, lakesides or the archipelago, and enjoy the outdoors with friends and family.
Here’s how we Swedes celebrate:
🌿 Raise and dance around the majstång (maypole)
🌸 Wear flower crowns made of wildflowers
🎶 Sing & dance – yes, even adults hop like frogs to Små grodorna!
🍓 Feast on herring, new potatoes with dill, and strawberries
Pro tip: Place seven flowers under your pillow on Midsummer night, and legend says you’ll dream of your future partner...
Wishing everyone a magical Midsummer weekend filled with sun, delicious food and flower crowns! ✨
