Recently, our team at MTAB Finland carried out a precision positioning job in a factory environment. The assignment involved positioning a full injection molding machine – with a total weight of around 5,500 kg – and lifting and installing a 380 kg injection unit into the machine. Careful planning, the right equipment and steady hands throughout. 🏗️⚙️

Over the past few months, MTAB has supported Tekniska museet in Stockholm with the transformation of one of their exhibitions. The project involved relocating a wide range of large-scale objects – from aircraft and engines to industrial equipment and even a Saab 39 Gripen fighter jet – ahead of its opening to the public last week. 🏗️✈️

Every journey has a beginning. MTAB’s story started in Stockholm in 1968, transporting sensitive equipment that required careful handling. From early partnerships with museums and IBM to a growing Nordic network, the business expanded step by step. Today, thousands of transports later, the foundation is still the same: trust, expertise and careful handling. 🚚✨

Last year, we supported the Historical Museum in Lund with the relocation of an antiquities exhibition. Fragile plaster and ceramic objects were carefully packed and transported to storage – including multi-part sculptures handled in collaboration with a conservator. One large piece, a sculpture of Nike, had to be carefully moved down three floors using a harness. Just another day of smart planning and steady hands.

We recently assisted Medelhavsmuseet with the installation of a 2,500-year-old basalt sarcophagus for their exhibition on Egypt. The piece weighed around 4 tonnes, with a 3-tonne lid – a complex lift requiring precision, planning and the right equipment. A true honour to support this unique glimpse into ancient life along the Nile. ⚖️📦

Looking back at 2025, we’re proud of the journey we’ve taken and the progress we’ve made. During the year, MTAB completed over 30,000 transports and reached an important sustainability milestone: 50% of our fuel came from renewable sources.

This is a meaningful achievement – made possible through careful planning, strong teamwork, and a long-term commitment to more sustainable logistics. 🚛🌿 🚛🌿

In collaboration with John Ginsborg, MTAB recently handled the import and installation of The Rugged – a 13-ton, 6-meter-high sculpture by artist Ugo Rondinone. The assignment included everything from project planning and engineering calculations to foundation casting and on-site installation. A striking piece, and a proud moment for our team. 🏗️✨
