Keel laid for VINGA Vessel No 20! Today marks a milestone for the first of three sister vessels set for delivery in 2027, ordered by Furetank Rederi.

A keel laying is one of maritime tradition's oldest ceremonies — rooted in the days when a vessel was built from the keel upward, from the backbone out. A fitting moment to pause even in the busiest of shipyards.

With multiple vessels under construction simultaneously, we are keeping the China Merchants Jinling Shipyard hard at work for some time yet.

We are so proud of our team of no fewer than 20 strong women and men who ran Göteborgsvarvet this weekend! A half marathon through our city, cheered on by orchestras and enthusiastic crowds.

Everyone crossed the finish line in one piece and in equally good spirits but perhaps a little more tired than in this photo, taken before the race.

Well done, all of you!

Final touches 💅 to FURE VASA before delivery! Today is the day VINGA vessel no 18 is handed over into ownership.

There is something special about wandering around a vessel in absolutely mint condition. Protective wrapping still in place, final paint strokes sealing the deal and all hands on deck loading the first supplies.

Lars Höglund sent us a filmed greeting from the shipyard on the Yangtze River, in the final moments before FURE VASA was delivered, up until the solemn moment of raising the blue and yellow flag.

Now she is ready to start her long journey, bound for European waters and joining a growing Swedish commercial fleet.

We share organizational info, news and employee surveys. Everyone can interact in group chats and share memorable moments in a social feed. From gingerbread contests to certification courses — we stay connected.

This guided our officers' conference themed "All hands forward." We discussed topics raised by our crews, and came away with a wealth of valuable insights.

Every office tends to have a dedicated fitness hero. At Furetank, we are lucky enough to have two!

Personnel Coordinators Niklas Areschoug and Josefine Ljungström decided to boost the 2026 Furetank Exercise Challenge with instructional workout videos. They have put together 30-minute HIIT sessions — High Intensity Interval Training — perfect for anyone who has a few moments to spare on board.

The rumour has it that several crews are eager to claim the trophy from last year's winning team on Sigrid. Racking up the most workouts together is the goal — but the real prize is better wellbeing on board and many healthy years ahead.
.. And the best part: all participants are winners! What's your best trick to get moving on board?

The Furetank Sustainability Report for 2025 is now published! We had a lot of positive progress to share this year – what a good feeling.

Some highlights:

> Threefold increase in female crew member over three years
