Never to late to start....
This weekend we have delivered another beginners tutorial guidning. And this time the goal was to get Peter's better half to try fly fishing as it is his big interest, and he would like to get her along in the future. Happy faces during a day packed with education and practise that landed in several takes and landed fishes for both of them. And a developed base knowledge and interst for Ann-Charlotte to keep exporong the Fly fishing world along with her husband.

And as always, it´s not complete finished, we still have to complete our online booking sections plus som minor adjustments and pricing. But we couldn´t hold it back further since we wanted to give you all an updated insight in what booking one of our fishing adventures whit us is about. Brothers in arms on todays guiding!

Henrik & Daniel traveled 800km to experience thier first fly fishing adventure, and they chose Anglerman fishing adventures to guide them through it. I am honored for getting the assignment to introduce them into the world of fly fishing. And you know what, i think i got them hooked 😉!

Contrasts...
Our guests from Mississippi U.S enjoyed a nice outdoor evening with fishing in forest pond after Trout and Char. And on top of that we treated them with a nice local outdoor dinner on the skillet pan.
Always nice to get genuine joy from international guests that deeply gratifying the contrast our wilderness delivers compare to their home.

Contact on dry, nymph and streamer today for our first international clients for the season. Mark and his son Alex from from Mississippi U.S fought through some genuine grey and wet weather. But we made it to a great day on the river together!

What a way to end ice fishing season in 2026!
But don't disbelief the hard work we put in to find this beauty's. Many hours of planning ahead and tons of equipment. And on site hard core fishing, drilling, swapping tackle, snowmobile transfers and skiing, walking plus reading waters from dusk till dawn. But sometimes it reward us and deliver a pot of gold like this! And that feeling is worth it all!

Time for the next battle for survival of our local waters!

Just over 30 years ago, a high-profile environmental battle was fought in the 1990s. The planned hydroelectric power plant in our part of the Österdalen River at my home village of Brunnsberg threatened the last untouched stretch of river in the area, which was known for its high natural values ​​and stream fishing waters. I myself participated as a little boy in the demonstration protests after the river at that time, and preventing the expansion at that time saved the possibilities that I can now conduct my guide business locally in Älvdalen.

Now it's time again!
This time they want to destroy one of our most beautiful fishing lakes with the expansion of a pump power plant connected to the existing massive Trängslet dam system. In addition to local protest lists, I contribute my views in a letter addressed to Fortum that is project owner.

With majour water dams plus several smaller plants already locally, hasn't this municipality and region contributed enough without getting small crumbs compared to the profits it generate others in return?

This will have negatively affecting both my business and our local community if their plans are realized in the short and long run.
