The 2024 gliding season is almost over, so time to think about our two highlights in 2025 already!
We are pleased to announce that there will be another edition of our "Spring Gliding Camp". As in the last years we are looking forward to a nice week of free crosscountry gliding over the beautiful area around Ineu.

Right after the camp we are trying something new. The first edition of the "Ineu Gliding Cup" will be held. IGC will be a gliding competition for beginners and experienced pilots. The competition will be held in two classes with index, to give all kind of glider types and pilot levels a chance to compete. We are very excited and looking forward to it! Spaces are limited, registration is open now!

Towpilots wanted!

To give our gliding activity a push we are looking for some more towpilots for the next season. Our small airfield offers a relaxed atmosphere, nice clubmates and a well-equipped (and an air-conditioned) clubhouse. Our workhorse, a 220hp Morane MS894A, is a really safe and reliable towplane. Beside your towing duties you will also get the chance to do some passenger flights. All our club members work voluntarily, so there will be no financial refund for your duties. However you will get the chance to find new friends, have a good time on the airfield and to build up your flight hours for free. A valid SEP and good flying skills are a must, an existing towrating is a plus. We can also help you with obtaining the rating if you have 30h after the issue of your licence.

Finally good weather to start working:) big team behind works daily to make a refurbish work on our runway. This means currently flying is not possible at Ineu but we do our best to get the runway ready in few weeks, and we are also prepaing few surprises to our guests and members 🙂 we will keep you updated ✈️😁🛫🛬

This weekend we had some visitors coming from Lyon-France with different type of aircraft we are used to. They where happy to enjoy the Romanian landscape, great weather and hospitality, but the funny story was that Ineu was not their planned destination at all, just as they read our previous visitors opinion in the French flying forum that Ineu is a “must visit place “ in Romania, they made the decision to come even 2 time to us 🙂 wish them safe trip back to France and many happy landings!! 🇷🇴✈️🇫🇷

A nice day to fly, and a nice day to spread the passion for our sport!

A nice week of gliding camp is behind us! The weather allowed us to fly nearly daily which put a big smile on the face of everyone. Most of our members had the chance to try our new Discus b or the Discus 2a for some flights. With flights up to 800km with the Discus 2 and incredible 600km with the Ka6 (from 1958), it was so far the best camp we had. That’s one of the reasons why some of us decided to extend the camp by another week for some more fun.
