I was absolutely overwhelmed to receive the 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

For someone who has spent so many years banging on about accessible travel, challenging barriers and fighting for a more inclusive travel industry, this recognition means more than I can possibly explain.

Standing here with this award in my hands, it feels like recognition for something I’ve been so passionate about for so long. Not just recognition for me, but for the importance of accessible travel and the difference it makes to people’s lives.

As many of you know, my own lived experience as a disabled traveller is at the heart of everything I do. I have never asked for special treatment. I’ve always said:

When I started Travelosophers, I wanted to do more than simply sell holidays. I wanted to prove that travel really can be for every body, and that accessibility should never be an afterthought.

As someone who lives with a disability myself, accessibility isn’t just something I talk about professionally. It’s something I experience, challenge, advocate for and, hopefully, help make better every single day.

To now be recognised alongside so many incredible people and organisations who are working tirelessly to make travel more inclusive is honestly a huge honour.

Also to be shortlisted in both of these categories? I’m genuinely blown away. 💜

On 1 October, I’ll be heading to Manchester for what promises to be a very special afternoon at the Travel For Every Body Awards.

Whatever happens on the night, I already feel like a winner, because this recognition is not just for me. It’s for every traveller who has ever had to ask:

✨ Absolutely thrilled and incredibly humbled to share that I have been shortlisted for the Diversity Trailblazer Award at the Travel Industry Awards 2026. ✨

To be recognised alongside some of the true greats of our industry is honestly quite overwhelming, and I feel incredibly proud to have reached this stage.

For me, this nomination represents so much more than an award. It represents every conversation, every customer I have supported, every person I have helped to experience the world with more confidence, and every moment spent championing the importance of accessible and inclusive travel.

Everything I do day in, day out has led me to this moment, from working with customers to create accessible holidays, sharing honest experiences, challenging perceptions, and helping the travel industry understand that travel really should be for everyone.

This shortlist isn’t just for me. It is for every single customer who has trusted me with their journeys, every person who has shared their experiences with me, every colleague and supplier who continues to support the work I do, and everyone across the wider travel industry who believes in creating a more inclusive future.
