🚨 WARNING TO ALL BIKE RENTAL BUSINESSES IN THE ALGARVE! 🚨
A suspected organised bike rental scam has affected several rental shops over the past weekend.
Expensive rental bikes were booked and collected, but NEVER RETURNED. 💔🚲
📍 After contacting fellow rental businesses across the Algarve, we have identified so far:
• 8 rental businesses contacted
• 5 bikes reported stolen
• Expensive E-bikes, E-MTBs and road bikes involved
The same person, reportedly using the name “Adam H.”, an Irish national with a Spanish +34 phone number, was involved in the reported cases.
An ID was presented and payment was made by bank card, making the bookings appear legitimate.
📡 Trackers fitted to some of the bikes have indicated a last known location in the Marbella Golf Resort area.

👮 The GNR has been informed. We are continuing to gather information and identify any other affected businesses.
