Yesterday I visited the stunning Basilica of St. Agatha and St. Barbara… and honestly, it's amazing.

Built between 1865 and 1912, this basilica was inspired by St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. It was created by Dutch Catholics, after thousands of them (Zouaves) traveled to defend the Vatican in the 1860s.

And yes… It’s smaller (much smaller 😄), but still incredibly impressive — especially in a quiet little Dutch town.

Proof that you don’t always have to travel far to discover something extraordinary ✨

Along the way, it's wonderful to stop for a drink on a terrace or to explore a charming village and do some shopping. The sun is shining, the sea is sparkling, and the sky is clear blue. Perfect for a day out!
