Did you know the Netherlands doesn’t have just one start date for the summer holidays?

The country is divided into three regions: North, Central and South, each with different school holiday dates.

The idea is to spread millions of holidaymakers over different weeks instead of sending everyone onto the road at the same time.

Less traffic jams in theory… in theory. 😅
