If you book with a foreign operator, they usually send their own tour leader from home. Good at logistics, keeps things running on time, deals with the hotel and the bus and all that. But they're often seeing Poland the same way you are: from the outside.

Our tour leaders are different. Every one of our tour leaders is also a licensed guide in at least one Polish city. That's not a title we hand out, it takes actual training and exams to get. They're the right people to interpret this country to you, not just manage the schedule. They'll tell you things on the drive between towns, over dinner, standing in front of a building that looks unremarkable until they explain what happened there. The whole trip ends up filled with knowledge.

Growing up somewhere gives you a different relationship with the place. The stories, the context... You just can't fake that, and you can't learn it from a guidebook.

Our tour leaders have cooperated with us for years, some since we started. If you've gone through our reviews before booking, you've probably already come across their names :)

So this is also just a small thank you to them. For the patience, the energy, the knowledge, the smile. You're the reason people feel these trips are different from every other tour they've taken.

It’s finally time to begin the September Ultimate Poland Tour! After months of sending e-mails back and forth, it is such an amazing feeling to know everyone has arrived, to be able to shake hands and get to know all the faces behind the names we already know so well. Warm welcome to all the tour participants, and we wish them a wonderful tour 🥰

Did you know that Poland in the summer turns into a big open-air stage? If there’s something we can take outside, we do. No matter the weather. You can attend concerts, watch a favorite movie at a park cinema, and participate in various cultural events – there’s always something happening under the open sky. One highlight is Carnaval Sztukmistrzów in Lublin. It’s a lively street art festival, which every July gathers street art performers, magicians, acrobats and comedians from all over the world. While you’re strolling through the picturesque streets of the Old Town, a new surprise waits around every corner. You can even spot tightrope walkers balancing between different buildings throughout the city.
This summer might be ending, but you can already book your trip for the next one! Don’t put it off for too long or you might just miss the magic 😉

High in the forests of the Karkonosze, the ruins of Chojnik Castle stand on top of Mount Chojnik.

The castle was built in the 14th century and remained an important stronghold for centuries. In 1675, a great fire destroyed it, and it has been a ruin ever since. Still, the remains are remarkably well preserved. Walking among the old walls, towers and stone steps, it is easy to imagine what life here might have looked like hundreds of years ago.

Getting to Chojnik is an adventure too. A scenic trail leads up through the forest. There is an easier route with a paved path, or a more challenging one through beautiful rock formations. A great option for anyone who enjoys hiking and nature.

And a lovely piece of history: in 1956, Karol Wojtyła, the future Pope John Paul II, spent a night here during a trip with students.

Another place in Poland that makes history feel surprisingly close.

Just an hour from Wrocław, you can visit a castle with two very different stories. Above ground, Książ Castle was the home of the powerful Hochberg family, with grand rooms, terraces and the story of Princess Daisy.

But during World War II, the castle was taken over by the N***s. They started building a huge underground complex beneath it. What exactly was it meant for? Historians still debate it.

Can you imagine packing up a whole church and moving it thousands of kilometres away?
It sounds impossible, but it really happened. Wang Temple in Karpacz was built in Norway and later moved all the way to Poland. Today, only a few such wooden churches remain in the world, and one of them is right here in Karpacz.

But Wang is more than just a fascinating piece of history and Viking architecture. It is also the starting point for some of the most beautiful mountain trails in the Karkonosze.

From here, you can take an easy and scenic trail to Samotnia, one of the most beautiful mountain shelters in the area. Or you can choose a more challenging route to Śnieżka.

Śnieżka is the highest peak of the Karkonosze Mountains, rising to 1,603 metres above sea level. On a clear day, the views from the top are simply unforgettable.

A little taste of old Kraków! Have you ever heard of Jama Michalika? This historic café in the heart of Kraków has been part of the city’s artistic and cultural life for more than 100 years. And of course, no visit to Kraków is complete without experiencing a traditional Polish folk show! Beautiful costumes, lively music, dancing, and delicious Polish food ...can it get any better?

A simple jet lag tip if you're traveling to Poland: as soon as you get on the plane, change your phone or watch to the Polish time zone.

Seeing the local time right away helps your brain start adjusting before you even land. It's an easy trick, but it really helps.
