Budapest - Hungary 🇭🇺

Budapest, capital of Hungary, and the biggest city in central and Eastern Europe.
Budapest is the combination of two cities: Buda (on the west site of the Danube river) and Pest (on the east side of the Danube river).

How to go there? ✈️
Besides this trip is a bit more expensive, it is worthy. You have to take a bus to Varsovia Modlin and take a plane. It would be more or less 70€ (330pln).

What to do? 🧐

1st: Fisherman’s Bastion
From this place, you have one of the best views of Budapest. Its seven pointy towers represent the seven Magyar chieftains who led their tribes to this area.

💡Nearby is the statue of St. Stephen, the first Hungarian king

2nd: Matthias Church ⛪️
The most colorful church you will see

3rd: Szenchenyi Chain Bridge 🌉
It was the first bridge to unite Buda and Pest. The stone lions guard the entrance of the bridge.

4th: The Great Market Hall
Looks like a train station, the market hall is the largest in Budapest.

5th: Danube promenade 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️
Enjoy the promenade and pay attention to the shoes on the Danube: memorial to the numerous Jews who were murdered in Budapest during N**i occupation.
💡Victims were instructed to take off theirs shoes before being shot, their bodies falling into the river.

6th: Szechenyi baths
A must to do! Relax in the healing and warm water 🫧

Kraków - Poland 🇵🇱

Krakow is considered as the second-largest and oldest city in Poland.

How to get there ? 🚌 🚂
You can take the bus or the train from Lodz to Krakow during 6 hours for 20 euros 💶

What to do ? 🧐

1st : Cloth Hall (photo 3 & 7)
In the center of Krakow, you can find souvenir shops

💡Don’t forget to make a stop to the St. Mary’s Basilica ⛪️
This basilica was built in a Gothic style (photo 2)

2nd : Florianska Street
This street is know as one of the best-known streets in Poland

3rd: Wawel Castle 🏰 (photo 4, 5 & 6)
Home of the Polish kings, for centuries, you can go inside to overlook the Vistula River and also visit the castle

💡At the bottom of the castle, don’t forget to make a stop next to the dragon and wait to see it spit fire 🔥🐉

4th : Jewish ghetto
The Jewish quarter is a very beautiful place and it is full of history. This is a must to visit !

💡If you have more time, it will be interesting to visit the Salt Mine or the Schindler’s Factory !

Spend one day visiting Aushchwitz-Birkenau : the best to do is to take a guide. Don’t forget to book before !

Krakow- Poland 🇵🇱

Roma - Italy 🇮🇹

Rome, capital city of Italy, famous for years of history. Also know for the amazing food 🍕 and architecture.

How to get there? ✈️ The flights costs around 89€ do and back. You would have to go to Varsovia Modlin to take them.

What to do? 🧐

1st: Vatican City
It’s a city inside Rome where you can visit Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica ⛪️

💡 We recommend you to book your ticket before your trip to skip all the line.

2nd: Castel Sant’Angelo
It has been sitting on the banks of the river Tiber for 2000 years. Now you can visit it as a museum, climb to the top to see gorgeous views of the city 🏰

3rd: Trevi Fountain
This is the world’s largest Baroque fountain. You can visit it during the day or the night for free! ⛲️

💡Throw a coin into the fountain and you are guaranteed to return to Rome. 💰

4th : The Pantheon
This is the best preserved Ancient Roman monument in Rome. Is it free to visit !

5th: Piazza Navona
This is a public space full of Baroque architecture. Also famous for the Foutain of the Four Rivers

6th: Colosseum
A most to see in Rome, the Colosseum is famous for being the home of gladiators 🏟️

💡 We advise you to come early as possible to skip queue.

7th: Roman Forum & Palatine Hill
You can go to this place with your colosseum ticket. This place was the seat of power during the reign of the Roman Empire.

Zakopane - Poland 🇵🇱

Capital of the Polish mountains, Zakopane is a small town in the south of Poland. Its location and close proximity to the ski slopes and hiking trials make it one of the most popular holiday destinations in Poland.

You can take the bus 🚌 from Lodz, during 7 hours for 20 euros 💶. Or I recommend you to rent a car with your friends. 🚘

What to do ?
1st : Shopping at Krupówki Street 🛍️—> place to find souvenirs, postcards and regional products

💡one of the speciality in Zakopae is « oscypek » : a cheese made of sheep milk

2nd : Visit the Cemetery on Pęksowy Brzyzk 🪦 —> Each grave is a piece of art and you can walk here for hours

3rd: Stroll along Kościeliska Street —> the oldest street in Zakopane

4th : Visit to Lake Morskie Oko 🥾🎒—> a must-see attraction is the largest lake in the Tatras - Lake Morskie Oko.

💡 You can park your car in the parking called « Palenica Bialczanska », then you will have to pay 8 zlotys. The walk last 2,5 hours to go at the top and see this beautiful lake

Berlin - Germany 🇩🇪

Berlin is the capital of Germany is a very good city in terms of history.
From Lodz you can take a flixbus during 6 hours, go and back for 60€ 💸.
‼️During the winter, the temperature is very cold 🧣☃️

What to do :

- Brandebourg gate (Unter den Linden, DZ Bank)
- Friedrichstrasse (Checkpoint Charlie & train station Friedrichstrasse, Palace of Tears tränenpalast)
- Museum Island
- TV Tower
- Tiergarten (the Siegessäule, the Holocaust memorial)
- Mall : Die Hackeschen Hoefe (old ballroom “Clärchens Ballhaus”)
- Potsdamer Platz (Panorama Point in Civic 1)
- Wall : East side gallery (Spree River + Friedrichshain to eat a burger Burgeramt in Boxhagener Platz
- Klunkerkranich (bars and clubs)

EINDHOVEN - NETHERLANDS 🇳🇱

You can go from Warszawa Modlin. Tickets are around 60€ (280 PLN). 💸

When you arrive in Eindhoven, you would have to take a bus to the center. The fastest bus line is to 401. You can buy the ticket at one of the machines outside the airport. It costs 4,95€. 🚌

It is a very nice city, with beautiful architecture. There you can visit the Museum of Phillips. You can buy the ticket on its website (11€).

If you want nightlife, just visit Stratumseind Street and you will find a wide variety of bars. RGB Bar is a good silent disco 🌚

NOTE: 💡 in the Netherlands they have dinner earlier, so be aware of that because the restaurants could be closed when you want to eat.

What to do ?
1st : DAF Museum —> histoire and culture of Dutch cars

2nd: Van Abbemuseum —> focusing on modern and contemporary art. It includes works by Picasso, Kandinsky, Rodin… 🎨

3rd : Philips Lamp Factory —> first light bulb factory established by Philips 💡

4th : Philips Stadion 🏟️

Next trip —> Stockholm

Stockholm, capital of Sweden, is a very good city to visit.
Advice 💡 : be ready if you want to travel during the winter, the temperature is very hard the best period to go is during the spring.

You can visit this city in 2-3 days.

Travel : from Lodz, take a train 🚂 to Warsaw and then take the plane ✈️ to Stockholm. You can have the go and back for 60 euros more or less.

Where to sleep ? You can sleep in a hostel for 25 euros the night.
🏨 : Grad Hotel and Hostel

What to visit ?
1st : Stortorget—> at the old town of the city, during Christmas you will find a small Christmas market
2nd : Drottninggatan —> one of the Main Street in Stockholm to buy whatever you want
3nd : museum vasa —> to see the best preserved 17th century warship in the world
4nd : metro station —> visit the “tunnelbana” in Swedish where you can find artwork in the wall

If you want to go to Wrocław, the best option is to take the train. We recommend you to use the webpage of Polish Trains. You have to take the train from Łódź Widzew to Wrocław Główny. It's only 3 hours and a half.

You can discover the city in one day and the best option there is to walk.

TOP 5 things to do in one day :

* Old town : you can enter in St Elizabeth, the city’s tallest church
* Rynek : the largest market square all of Europe
* Ostrów Tumski (Cathedral Island)
* Old Town Hall : group of Gothic buildings bundled together in one complex
* Wroclaw Fountain : Poland’s largest fountain covering one full hectare

💡 Be careful of the Dwarfs of Wroclaw located all around the city !
